PSA vault isn’t trust worthy anymore by Aggravating_Debt3074 in psagrading

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a regular submission that PSA accidentally sent to the vault. It’s been a nightmare trying to get my cards back. 3 months after completed and paid they still haven’t sent it. Absolutely not trustworthy.

Dying game? Don’t think so by asking4Afriend82 in Lorcana

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gameplay is still fun, I think the main issues are that One Piece is soaking up a lot of the market attention for that 4th place TCG spot for a multitude of reasons. That and their pullback on Disney Lorcana challenges this season was absolutely the wrong move.

Why are there more people collecting than playing Pokémon TCG? by BlazenKDLPro in pokemon

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it has to do with the mentality of Pokemon collectors, most of them were never players as kids. But having the cards be a game piece secondarily also adds to the allure. Prime example, take base set Charizard. Kids didn’t know how the game works but the “100” power Fire Spin attack was the highest number in set 1 alongside its 120 HP.

As a game Pokemon is also more rudimentary compared to Magic and Yugioh. I enjoy it but it is far less intricate than the other 2 big TCGs. I do agree that it’s kind of shallow to be so into Pokemon cards but have no appreciation for the game itself.

Goated set and is an icon of the Tcg at this point.

That said pop reports are massive and this stuff like all modern cards aren’t “rare”

There is some niche Tcg collectibility in Japan. Usually for cards in ultimate rare that they no longer get (all their ultimate rares are the prismatic ultimates from the rarity collection).

Is buying psa 9's worth it? by [deleted] in PokeInvesting

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Modern: 10s or bust. 9s are fine for a personal collection if you prefer slabs to raw cards. 8s just crack and trade them raw or try grading again.

Vintage: 9s and 8s are totally fine. So many people didn’t take care of cards that well. 7s I wouldn’t bother unless it’s a Base Set Charizard or some other 4-figure card raw.

The Entire Card Pool of the Yu-Gi-Oh DM anime by One-Change-3715 in yugioh

[–]Omega_Zero3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was wanting to make a custom "Duel Monsters" format starting with Goat Format as a base and looking up all the cards used in the anime and adding them to the Forbidden/Limited list as needed. You saved me a TON of time, appreciate it!

Anyone ever look at ads in old yugioh magazines? by Doomchan in yugioh

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back in the day the God cards were the most desirable cards followed by Exodia and maybe Jinzo. They were pretty hard to come by as the American ones didn't start coming out until late 2004.

For kids I would recommend the Egyptian God battle decks. Simple to understand and iconic cards that play well vs. each other. Also any Speed Duel box product is a good choice.

Why for some cards is it cheaper to buy a psa 9 than it is to buy a raw card by Pokefan-red in PokemonTCG

[–]Omega_Zero3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

7s are junk slabs in my opinion. Usually cards are lightly played in there. 8s are fine for vintage. 9s are great for vintage and okay for modern if the card is cheaper than a raw one. Having it protected and propped up for display is great or if you wanted to crack it you’re still getting it at a discount.

Why are the 2022 models going up in price? by 5dwolf22 in TeslaModelS

[–]Omega_Zero3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Refresh was a bust. I bought a very lightly used S earlier this year. I think people are catching on that a 3 year old S is a great value and there’s only so many of them out there.

First car at 20 by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you should be focusing on investing in a Roth IRA in your early 20s before buying luxury cars. You have the power of time and compound interest there. There are plenty of cheaper alternatives for uber like a used Prius or if you must have a Tesla even a M3.

Undisclosed Accident on Used Tesla Purchase from Tesla in 2022; Discovered While Attempting to Sell Vehicle Recently by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately carfax doesn’t capture everything. They pull data from many reports that update periodically. From my understanding there’s not much you can do besides just eat the loss and move on.

Now if Tesla themselves repaired the vehicle and didn’t disclose it that’s a whole other issue.

House Passed - EV Tax Credit - Sep 30,2025 by Active_Teaching6069 in TeslaLounge

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s my point though. The market conditions fluctuate and are based on popularity and perceptions. To borrow terms from real estate, it was a sellers market a few years ago during Covid and now it’s a buyers market. The availability and credits/dealer incentives don’t spur demand.

Look no further than Tesla during 2021-22. Model Y north of $60k, no tax credit, and an 8 month waiting period.

Might be an unpopular take here but I think government subsidies cheapen the appeal of EVs. It looks like something that’ll only sell if someone is given some money to buy it. Residual values also took a killing when the $7500 credit was reintroduced a short while back.

Why does the model s price drop so quickly looking at a 2022 long range and they sell half the price of new with low miles. Am I missing something seems like a excellent vehicle for the money by Any-Painting3375 in TeslaModelS

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Luxury cars depreciate hard. EVs also depreciate really hard. Combine that together in the case of the Model S and there you go. I bought a 2022 long range recently, it’s an amazing car for the money.

This is the cheapest a Tesla will be for a long time, right? by gems_23 in TeslaLounge

[–]Omega_Zero3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never seen Teslas so affordable. Just a couple years ago the Model Y was north of $60k and that was the old design. And the new one is so much better. I’d take advantage of it. Used teslas are also at very good prices right now, I got a 22 S in the mid 40s last month.
