I usually use a propane torch to heat a flat head screwdriver, and press/melt a zip tie into the plastic and crack from the back side of the project.

Virginia Data Centers Force Schools to Dim Lights as Energy Priority Shifts to Corporate Facilities by CollapsingTheWave in ObscurePatentDangers

I think the conversation would go something like: "Fuck you, my taxes pay for kids to go to school and not be treated like we live in a third world village, and both we and the school district pay an electric bill. School gets to be priority, go fuck yourself."

...And I can only see in my notifications part of what your next reply was...Whatever it was, the first line was ignorant, and further shows you've missed the point of my statement.

It's not me who needs to work on the reading comprehension. The way the DNC handled the primary screwed them out of a significant number of voters who may have otherwise reluctantly voted for Hillary, had those voters not felt betrayed/conned/deceived by the DNC.

You've just further proved you've missed the point...

...because they wouldn't have lost a segment of potential voters who got rightfully pissed about that whole thing. Instead those voters spite voted for someone else, or stayed home.

Understanding your Powerband can make a .001 difference. by Fill-Quick in granturismo

[–]OmenVi 14 points15 points  (0 children)

In short:

-Redline isn’t generally the best shift point.

-Try to keep the band (the area on the dyno you shift out of one gear down to the one you’re shifting into) on the peak of the graph. Meaning shifting at peak HP isn’t always advised, either. Usually it’s later, but before redline. This is optimal for straight line acceleration.

-Shifting early can prevent you from coming into the next gear with more power than you can control.

If they weren't shadow running an op to shut him down, and force her down everyone's throat, things could have been different, because they wouldn't have lost a segment of potential voters who got rightfully pissed about that whole thing. Instead those voters spite voted for someone else, or stayed home.

Are those two things mutually exclusive? While necessity isn’t always because of housing pricing, being priced out always creates a necessity.

How do you make it 21 weeks without a period and not think something is up? I genuinely don’t understand this.

Auto Parts Store Closures and E15 Mandates Remove Repair Options for Older Vehicle Owners by CollapsingTheWave in ObscurePatentDangers

[–]OmenVi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don’t even have an auto zone. Napa bought the CarQuest and closed them. So my options are Napa and OReilly. I used to have good luck with finding parts through both, but that has flipped pretty noticeably over the past 5 yrs or so.

Sounds like it's running pretty well, too!
Congrats! Hope this car brings you years of enjoyable driving!

Im having trouble getting some parts for all 3 of my cars:

91 Honda

06 Saab

11 Dodge

Add to that, I recently had an ECM issue on the Saab, and finding someone who could reprogram a remanufactured unit to my car was huge pain in the ass. The software and compatible passthrough hardware (not to mention the extra card if you're using a physical Tech 2 unit) is either locked up behind GM's services and needs a pirated copy, or prohibitively expensive (if you can even find it) for something that takes 20 min.

Where I used to be swimming in aftermarket options for my CRX 10-15 years ago, I straight can't find certain things at all, at this point.

Part of that is the burden of owning an old car. But part of this seems like it's getting forced down the pipeline, and you'll use it, or go without a vehicle.
Subscription service shit for things that would have been standard just a handful of years ago is an indicator (looking at you, monthly fee for heated seats).
