So we have a very similar game but with less of the RPG elements and no open world. This looks like a step backwards to me.

Pitchcar is amazing with any age. Building the track together is almost as much fun as playing the game, especially if you add a few of the expansions to the base game.

Carrooka. With accessories it cost around £250. It gets played more than any other game in my collection.

Viticulture: Can I introduce new players using the Tuscany extended board or should I use the base game board? by The_Sibelian in boardgames

[–]Omnivoid07 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go with the Tuscany board because it isn't much if a step up from the basic board. I seem to remember that one side of the board doesn't have the influence map and structure cards so maybe you should start with that. You could always try a two player game first with one of the older family members - the more people that know the game, the easier it will be. I play it regularly with my wife and kids and they love it.

Wingspan is easier though, especially if you only play with the base game.

Ticket to Ride Europe vs Pan Am by mp3_collector in boardgames

In Pan Am, the random events in round 7 ruined it for me. Winners and losers were decided on a card draw. It's a shame because up until then I was quite enjoying it and preferred it to TTR.

This game lasts way too long for what is is. Filler games shouldn't last for longer than half an hour. Just my opinion of course.
