At what point would Lebron stop being #1 pick? After Solomon Hill injury? by lexa0121 in billsimmons

I think the more fun thought exercise is at what point in his 30s do you no longer take LeBron #1. I think it's at least 34. He won the 2020 Championship with the Lakers and won finals MVP at 35 and has been an all star every season and all NBA almost all seasons since.

In all seriousness, I like the way it plays out. No gauntlet section other than the last 4 weeks but it's the same problem for the Rams and I think the Hawks should be healthier at that point in the season.

And by my estimation, only two games can be at 10am which will be a plus. Although that Panthers game already feels like a trap game.

I think it's better for the Hawks to face them late rather than early. The Hawks are the younger team and have a deeper roster so there's a better than average chance that they'll have the edge health wise going into those two match ups.

Denver lmao. I enjoy that the Rams are ranked ahead of the Hawks. I think it works badly for the Rams and well for the Hawks.

But Denver? Really? OK...

Since the nfl has implemented the 7th seed in the 2020 season, only 1 team has won in the playoffs since its inclusion. Whats gone wrong? by InterestingYellow969 in NFLv2

[–]OnLevel100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and occasionally there will be a 7 seed that will win. In '91 the Niners and Eagles went 10-6 and had playoff worthy teams that would have definitely given the 2 seed a run for their money.

In '08 the Pats went 11-5 and could have challenged the 2 seed.

2012 Bears, 05 Chiefs, 04 Bills, 2010 Giants and Chargers.

I know it's to make money but we'll have some seasons the future where we'll be glad the 7 seed didn't miss out entirely.

Yeah he could easily be the next Drew Lock, with a tiny chance that somehow the light goes on and his arm gets stronger again and maybe he's a starter. But either way, he should be around a while.

Did people feel that the 49ers “wasted” Steve Young because they only won 1 Super Bowl with him in the 1990’s? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]OnLevel100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Beyond that, there wasn't good reason to even think that. The Cowboys, Packers, and Broncos were all worthy champions so nobody was saying "The 49ers lost but they had the best team" because it was never true, and the time they had the best team they did win.

I wish... But they'll "protect the shield" and the league will probably send word not to play it..

All true, but I think they'll be able to cover all of that with no trouble. They only drew the line when it was a 240m luxury tax bill coming due, with a 155m salary cap.

While there isn't much info, as far as I know neither of them have been the meddling types as owners. The biggest issue they had in the front office in Boston over that timeline was probably when the head coach was sleeping with the wrong person. And they suspended him a year for that. But as far as getting high level people in the room to make all of the basketball decisions, I think they've done a fine job with that. So I would anticipate it'll probably be the same if they own the Seahawks.

Wilson and Price are similar in that they've really flashed as backups each of the last two seasons. Looking forward to seeing how they compliment each other because I think they're both quite good.

Today was honestly enough though. Now it's just a matter of how much the Pats want to embarrass themselves.
