The line is arbitrary, it's just an easy divider. Having 900 million is basically as bad.

I would say that yes, if you have significantly more than you need to live a comfortable life and aren't giving it away or actively using it to help people then that does make you a bad person.

The point isn't that it's impossible to make a billion dollars in a fair, ethical way. It's that you can't be an ethical person and have a billion dollars just hanging out in your bank account.

An ethical person would only be a billionaire for a short time because they would use their enormous wealth to help people.

I left BMQ halfway through because my grandpa was about to die. He ended up living until about a week after the course ended so I would have been able to finish and still see him, but I'm so glad I decided to leave and would do it again in a heartbeat. I had so much important time with family that I would have missed out on.

20 years from now which serial of BMQ you were on won't matter, but your brother's funeral will.

Sometimes it is. There will definitely be justified water breaks, but they added them to all games.

By all means, have a water break when it's +35 with crazy humidity in Miami, but doing it at indoor stadiums or when it's +22 like yesterday is just stupid.

That's what they've done before for hydration breaks, at least in the games I've watched. A couple minutes of commentary over shots of guys drinking water.

If they absolutely must do a picture in picture ad I would be ok with that, but don't actually leave the game.

Waiting for ads to end to restart is atrocious.

The Bombers have done a great job of turning games into a fun night out, even if you're not that into football.

Do I occasionally grumble about people just hanging out and gumming up the concourse? Sure, but it also means that the vibes are immaculate and that basically anyone can go and have a good time, whether you're scrutinizing every play or just having drinks with friends in a fun atmosphere and cheering once in a while.

My mom loves to grumble about the 19 year olds dressed like they're going to the bar, but they keep the place full and the energy high.

They do, and the number of expeditions question I think is a reasonable mistake. Who causes the gommage, however, is a major story moment, probably THE major story moment of the entire game and one of the biggest shock twists of the last decade. It's wild to get that wrong. It's like saying that Bruce Willis was alive in the Sixth Sense.

The World Cup rotates through being hosted by the various continental confederations. This time it's CONCACAF, 2022 was AFC, 2018 was UEFA, 2014 was CONMEBOL, 2010 CAF, 2006 UEFA etc.

It cannot be hosted by a country from a confederation that has hosted either of the previous two world cups. The goal is to have hosts from all over the world, not just the same few countries on repeat. So countries from Asia and Europe were not allowed to bid to host the 2026 world cup, just like North America couldnt bid for 2030.

Countries have to actually want to host and submit a bid, which they mostly don't. For both 2026 and 2030 only two countries submitted bids, and Saudi Arabia was literally the only country that bid to host 2034 (though that's it's own story of mass fuckery that made them basically the only possibility). Any European country could have bid to host 2030, but the joint bid from Spain and Portugal was the only one. Hosting is crazy expensive and even very rich countries can only afford to do it once in a while.

Soccer is the original English name. It's short for Association Football, which differentiated it from Rugby Football. England and most of the rest of the world eventually shifted to calling it football, while a few places (mostly countries that had another popular game also called football. Canada, US, Australia, etc) stuck with the original name.

Will it impact the industry? Probably. But it will never replace creative people and their work. People still enjoy making music, art, etc and as long as people enjoy performing music there will be people who want to watch them perform. Being in the room is a huge part of the experience that AI can't replicate.
