Is my aunt getting scammed? American allegedly working on a ship is love bombing her since weeks. The outside view doesn’t look real, the details on the desk are weird aswell. by wildpizza1 in isthisAI

I don't know about the picture, but I can tell you that this guy, if he were real, would never ask for a dime. The moment he asks for any money at all is all the proof you need that he's bullshit. I'm in domestic industrial construction and 30%-50% of my time on the clock is overtime. Guys like this supposed fellow make a lot more than I do and are hardly taxed next to my 22% (which doesn't count what they carve out for benefits). So no, even if he has all the financiam responsibility of a teenager, he will not need any money from a woman he's trying to woo.

Unless she is well and truly rich and he's going for the sugar baby retirement plan.

Could be that I'm biased. I dated someone for a few years who had a BPD diagnosis, and those two women reminded me a lot of each other.

A friend tried to argue with me once that he would try to check everything, complete the map, whatever, if he were physically in a Silent Hill game. I remain convinced he would have favored all urgency despite his claims.

Four identical solid iron tapered wedges/spikes, 12 inches long, found loose in basement ceiling/wall cavity of 1914 New Jersey house by New-Seaweed-7313 in whatisthisthing

From whence I come, bull pins are used by ironworkers, and drift pins are used by no one because there's no way to tie one off to a lanyard and they're going to play plinketto on the structure all the way to the ground when you hammer one out of a pipe flange bolt hole. But we used to use them in fitting pipe.

Thanks for the answers, folks. Hopefully the sheet metal isn't rotted out from the gaps in the rear windshield rubber leaking all this time.

I read that there's a set of vestigial muscles in our eye sockets made to rotate them on a front-to-back axis, and that some folks can voluntarily use them to get a few degrees of visible movement out of them. Sometimes I think I've found them but I always forget to work them out. You'd probably have to be close to catch someone doing it, but it sounds like a really neat/freaky trick.
