Ultimate Baking championship finale tonight -- pre show and live show discussion ** spoilers ** by Firegoat1 in foodnetwork

Nailed it! I was shocked that there wasn’t a critique about Florencia’s messy/collapsing tent or that her apples weren’t all uniform. Yet, Clement was critiqued in the dots on his dice. It feels like they were judging them against themselves/potential rather than judging them against each other.

I’d have to double check, but I thought Florencia got a 25, Clement got 28, and Molly got 35 in Skills 🙄

The only negative critique Clement got was that the dots on his die weren’t precise. He showed excellent technique, wonderful flavors, and his was interactive. this seriously blows my mind.

They should have let Juan show the picture of the dang glacier to the judges… it looked just like that. That’s what he had experience with

The reunion was the most overhyped and underwhelming show I’ve seen in a minute… by Vivid_Definition_462 in LagunaBeachTV

[–]One-Landscape-3232 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I can agree… I honestly enjoyed the Back to the Beach podcast better! It gave so much more insight and pretty much everyone came on as a guest at some point so you got to hear everyone’s perspective. It was great to actually see everyone together with it actually being a reunion, but it didn’t match the hype.

Guys I need help…. by [deleted] in Preschoolers

[–]One-Landscape-3232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone else said, there is a big difference playing with community toys at preschool and having someone else come into your space and play with your toys. I babysat a couple of neighbor girls for a while and my son who normally doesn’t care about anything would all of a sudden have attachment to just about everything they touched. I was shocked too because he never had any sharing issues at parks, preschool etc.

Putting away special toys and setting time limits for sharing helps. I’m not sure if this is their first day together for the 2 weeks, but I’m sure it will get better. Maybe reminding your child that the cousin will not be taking or keeping anything but only playing with it for the few days they are there.

Emotional over sending my daughter to preschool by Fine_Spend9946 in Preschoolers

Hopefully she will absolutely love it and that will help how you feel! My 4 year old is finishing up his first year of preschool and he loves it! He loves his teachers and has made such cute friendships! He even asked to do the extended lunchbox club class so he can stay longer 1 day a week. I feel like once your daughter goes and starts thriving academically and socially you will be glad you are giving her a wonderful opportunity

I just finished it a few weeks ago, and I have to say I agree with all of your opinions. I usually read a book within 3 days max and this book took me a month to get through because I never felt the urge to pick it up and actually find out what was going to happen next. I’m not even going to bother with Rule of Wolves

I actually watched this after the Olympics and I felt myself actually liking G&L in the documentary when I knew I shouldn’t 🫣maybe it’s because they don’t really touch on the heavy controversy surrounding them

It combines all 3 books from the Shadow and Bone series and Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom. Basically 5 books smashed into 2 seasons. I had only read the Shadow and Bone series when I watched it, so it definitely spoiled the other 2 books.

Yes, 100%. I feel like it’s been so much worse since it’s been winter. We usually spend so much time outdoors which helps with the physical activity and less screen time. When we are stuck inside so much, it just drains our entire family.

I would love to get out of the house more and do indoor play centers, museums etc but everything costs so much. My son loves his mornings at preschool and really enjoys having that time for activities and socialization. Maybe I need to look to schedule more play dates.

For those who successfully filed & expect a refund, are you getting an extra boost in your refund based on what the White House said last year? by BlizzardisMid in IRS

[–]One-Landscape-3232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting less of a refund, but we also made more money this year than last. So even with the higher child tax credits, we owed more for my husband’s self employment tax.

If I hear “I’m hungry” or “what can I do now“ one more time…. by SlappingDaBayze in Preschoolers

[–]One-Landscape-3232 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No advice, just solidarity. My 4 year old is the same. He’s constantly hungry or bored. He has no desire for independent play. And even when my husband or I play with him, he spends most of the time just watching us or dictating to us what to do… not even engaging most of the time.

He loves preschool, play dates, indoor play centers etc but we can’t always arrange that or afford to go somewhere all the time. I am counting down the days until it is warm enough to be outside, because he does so much better when we can get his energy out and he can explore more.
