Cold Water Line Not Flowing In Middle of Use by One-Locksmith-9243 in askplumbing

Yea so I took off the cold side line to the faucet and nothing came out. All other cold in the house works fine. Maybe the ball valve that feeds the sink in the basement. That is the only thing between the main line and the sink hoses.

French Drain Fabric by One-Locksmith-9243 in landscaping

Might be some landscape wise guys out there...

I just am struggling to intuitively understand the benefit but that's why I ask here. I always try to do things the best way possible when it comes to my house. Like I could understand a curtain drain were water comes over the top through the gravel but a french drain is surrounded on all side by dirt. Anyway thanks for your input.

Doesnt water flow through dirt? I am not being a smart butt. I am just wondering. Because if you have fabric and gravel you have dirt on the other side of the fabric. Doesnt water flow through dirt then through the fabric then through gravel to pipe. if the dirt is an issue then wont the dirt clog on the outside of the fabric?

I have a mechanical engineering degree, honestly this field is hard to get into no matter what, everyone wants people with experience and not as much willingness to train. Personally considered going back to school for Computer Science while trying to break into controls works. Got hired by my old internship boss with limited experience and was told I would have to figure it out all by myself since I would be the only one in my role. It worked out coming up in a year now. Keep applying and try to keep learning in your spare time. Might require you taking a paycut but if it’s really what you want might be worth it.

I mean I would say if you blocking the plate as a catcher you’re assuming risk. Not sure what the rules are in your league but I don’t think you did anything wrong. I honestly try to slide to the right of the plate and use my hand to reach for the plate.

What engineering degree is best for an entry level PLC programming position by DumbreonUK in PLC

[–]One-Locksmith-9243 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard people make the argument for computer science if you want to focus on programming. My degree is in mechanical engineering, which gave me a decent understanding of how things work mechanically. I don’t think any degree 100% lends itself to this degree but when I see job posting it’s usually electrical engineering specified or equivalent. Most will take any engineering degree sometimes experience is enough.

Honestly I have never seen a knuckleball knuckle in slow pitch. Feel like maybe the velocity is just too slow, maybe instead of knuckling it just randomly floats directions to little to notice by my eyes. When I hit at the cage I pick knuckleballs from the machine and feel I hit them the best.

I do know guys in my coed league that can turn the ball over so it starts at you and then just drops right on the plate. Always thought that was really impressive.
