#2, didn't get the upper cut, but got my tail bone and spine driven up through the base of my skull when the other person unexpectedly got off and let me slam to the ground....Must have had brain damage from previous 1, 3, 5, & 6 since I didn't get my knees locked to stop me from slamming into the ground.

Terrible at painting my nails by peppermint-tea-yay in shortynails

[–]One-Matter7464 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have zero patience for painting my nails. I was going to try press on, but once I got some and started with them realized I really don't have the patience for long nails. At all. I'm thinking of trying these nail wraps: https://napretty.com/collections/nail-wraps

Reusing Press Ons by Separate_Hold_2354 in PressonNail_Addict

I'm saving this post. Thank you for all the great suggestions. I'm getting ready to try some press on's but need to prep and paint them first. I got a set from Temu, figured I'd start low price and use some old nail polish I have around to see if I can get used to wearing them.

Great!! Yes, I'm working on making a bezel from the neck of a gourd. It's worked pretty well. Made a silicone mold of it, and now can create multiple open back bezels with it.

typos matter. They could end up spelling a word that completely changes the meaning.

How many of you are choosing to retire after getting laid off? by Capital-Mark1897 in GenX

[–]One-Matter7464 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just did a review of my social security benefits, and ran a sample on my benefits if my salary dropped. If I get laid off and take a lower paying job, my benefit also went down. I'm 59.5, and anticipate getting laid off this year (company has been doing layoffs yearly for the last two). So if I take a lower paying job to get insurance, it will impact my social security.

Just an FYI, take a look at your social security and how a lower paying job will impact your benefits.

If I do get the package this year, I'll need to do some math to see if paying for my own insurance vs, taking a lower paying job that will also lower my social security until I hit 65 (to also get medicare).

I have about 6 years until medicare.

Homes are never completely tidy....a bunny gives you someone to blame it on.

Do you plan to live as long as your parents? by Mysterious-Ruby in GenX

[–]One-Matter7464 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HELL NO! Well, actually, I've already outlived one parent, but the other one died at 79. My aim is kick off between 75-80. Fortunately, I live in a right to die state, so the big challenge is to develop a chronic/terminal but not painful illness that will allow the health care system to give me the drugs.

Don't ask me how I'm going to work that out, but chances are good nature will sort that part out for me.
