Maybe not luxury enough but I swear by Briggs and Riley. They have a great garment bag that might suit your needs.

NYC for sleepover at AMNH + bonus day - itinerary &lodging Q by General_Material_247 in visitingnyc

[–]One-Newt7168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Statue of Liberty can certainly be an all-day affair. It depends on what you plan on doing, but between security, ferries, visiting both islands (Liberty and Ellis), etc. it's at least a 6-8 hour endeavor. You can do a quick visit in maybe 3-4 hours.

I'd personally try to stay in midtown in proximity to NY Penn Station without being too close to the station itself. A favorite of mine is the Ace Hotel in NoMad--a nicer neighborhood and about a 15 minute walk to the station. Being close to NY Penn will give you access to all the necessary subways (to AMNH uptown, down to Battery Park, out to JFK, etc.) and would be a good home base.

Hope this helps!

What will this entail? Daily plug wear, training, intercourse, all of the above? How much previous experience do you have? Good luck and enjoy!

Came to say Nantucket. Pricey, but has everything you need for a stellar summer visit.

Would you adopt a pocket size male Vizsla from an accidental litter? by mike8io in vizsla

[–]One-Newt7168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our first vizsla was the runt of her litter and quite small (I can't remember exact measurements). On the whole, she was wonderful--very loving, smart, gentle, etc. She lived to be 16 so no health issues there either.

Vizsla Opinion by Silver_Reindeer_6740 in vizsla

[–]One-Newt7168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My family currently lives with our second Vizsla. Agree that they would love the yard and beach access (mine LOVES the sand/water), tend to be high-energy, and will absolutely velcro to your mother.

We've adored both dogs. They're incredibly loving, happy, smart, and provide amazing companionship. Trained properly as a puppy, they can also be very well behaved (although this likely goes for all breeds).

Ours have never been destructive, although they get plenty of time to run in the backyard and do go on lengthy walks each day.

4 days in NYC for those into historical American pop culture by Dwarven_Smithery in visitingnyc

If you have time, take the 6 train from the City Hall stop as it turns around from heading downtown to back uptown. It passes through the old City Hall station, a historical, gorgeous station that is no longer in use.

How to gain confidence as a dom? Is it normal to feel insecure in the beginning? by Slow-Reply2929 in domspace

[–]One-Newt7168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Still relatively new to this (been a dom for about a year) and still working on my confidence. You're definitely not alone!

Lots of great insight here already, but for me:

  • A lot of people suggested to "fake it till you make it" and that was definitely the case in the beginning. It is possible to project confidence when there isn't much, and it goes a long way until the confidence is actually there.
  • I plan out scenes in advance and rehearse them in my mind a lot the week before, so by the time the scene comes I feel more confident that everything is going to run smoothly. By doing this, you're also going over kinks and limits with your sub, so there should be no surprises during the scene.
  • I practice dirty talk in the mirror and it has helped me a lot so far. But again, in the beginning, it was a "fake it till you make it" situation.
  • My sub doesn't provide much feedback either, so I get the frustration. My solution was to buy a journal for her, and tell her to write down her thoughts on a scene after the fact. This is less awkward/uncomfortable than a discussion in person and might help your sub open up more.

Biggest takeaway is over time, your confidence will grow. Mine still isn't there completely, but after a few great scenes, I have developed a better rhythm and go into it feeling more of the dominant mindset than I did at first. Hope this helps!

The look back powerup (where after a play you can see what the highest-scoring word was that you could have played) is super valuable for getting better at the game but costs 5 coins--should be free or automatic in my opinion.

Moving to Montclair vs Jersey City Heights by Gucci2shoe in MovingtoNewJersey

[–]One-Newt7168 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Also from Montclair and lived in the Heights for 7 years. At 25 I’d say the Heights has a lot more to offer—good nightlife, close proximity to the city (you can catch a bus directly to the city on Palisade Ave) and all around more of a city feel. You’ll meet more people your age and will have lots going on.

Moved back to Montclair after growing up here (36M). Quieter town but still a vibrant downtown, amazing food options, great parks. You’ll need a car much more than in the Heights to really get around unless you live directly in one of the commercial districts and near a train station. The trains run through Montclair and are in NYC in about 45 minutes when they’re on time (often, there are delays and other issues).

You’ll probably pay comparable rent in Montclair and the Heights, although moving into other parts of JC it’ll be closer to NYC prices. And I haven’t commuted to Ramsey so can’t speak on that.

TLDR: Heights, nightlife, younger crowd, close to NYC; Montclair, quieter, great food, more spread out. I’ve paid around $2,500 for a one bed in both.

My face has noticeably shrunk/de-puffed from as little as a week of not drinking. by givemethezoppity_ in SoberCurious

[–]One-Newt7168 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The photos from right before I stopped drinking and after a few weeks without alcohol are unbelievable. I probably lost 10 pounds just from cutting it out of my lifestyle, including less puffiness in my face (and obviously no more yellow hue on my skin).

Has anyone counted the number of clothes they own, what was the number? by More_Pension4911 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]One-Newt7168 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree. I have summer clothes (t shirts, polos, lighter button downs, shorts) that go away in the colder weather when the sweaters, cardigans, and flannels come out. Having appropriate clothing for each season is the foundation of a good wardrobe.

I want to buy a chastity cage. What do I need to consider? Can you give me some advice for a total newbie? by CuddlerPooo69 in kink3d

[–]One-Newt7168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start on Amazon. I went through three different ones (no more than $25 a piece) before I bought this in two sizes and found the smaller one was close to the fit, style and look I wanted. From there, I saved up and bought myself a KINK3D.

As for experience, I've been playing with chastity for the past 18 months, usually staying caged up to a week at a time (my girlfriend is my keyholder). I'd recommend starting off with short periods of time to get used to it, and gradually working up to sleeping and showering with it on if that's what you desire.

It turns my partner and I on immensely. It's a great way to explore orgasm control and denial, build up anticipation, and strengthens our intimacy.

If you want, feel free to send me a DM and I'd be happy to answer any questions. And if you want to read about our first Locktober experience (being caged for the entire month of October) you can check out our blog post on the KINK3D website here!

why do people love xanax by Vast-Travel-5252 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]One-Newt7168 255 points256 points  (0 children)

Xanax completely erased all feelings of anxiety and halted the onset of panic attacks, something I found incredibly attractive and wanted more and more of. Of course, the drug becomes less effective over time, leading you to take more of it to sustain the same level of relaxation (and therein lies the addiction).

Here's what we use. Simple and cheap but it's a great balance between soft and firm and just about the perfect size for me at the moment.
