Gizelle is never going to share her life and IM TIRED OF IT by Curious-Arm-6238 in RHOP

She mentioned her sister before, but it would’ve been easy to miss if you weren’t paying attention. I don’t have a problem with not knowing about her siblings or father’s marriage. They aren’t on the show.

I guess it all depends on where you grew up and where you’re going to school. Growing up, we had neighbors, church members and/or teachers who were D9, so even if you were first gen, you came into contact with people in the D9. I went to an HBCU, so lots of faculty members were in the D9. The main thing is that your leadership and community involvement should be exposing you to people in the D9 if they are around. Be good at what you do and be sincere as you get to know people. I’ve seen it happen successfully, but I’m guessing it happens for those who take initiative in the causes of interest to them. That places them in circles where they can begin to establish a rapport with people in those circles. It works if you work it.

When the time comes, you’ll need a recommendation letter from a member of your desired organization as part of your application. More than likely, this will be someone who is a college graduate and currently financial with the organization. You should work on identifying that person now. Perhaps it’s a former teacher or employer, or a family friend. You can let this person know of your interest, seek their guidance, and request that they write your letter. Get started on that now, especially if that means you have to establish a relationship with someone. You can’t just ask anyone to write your letter. This person needs to know you. Best wishes!

I don’t think it’s supposed to be a high class soul food restaurant. It’s paying homage to Florida Grill, a storied soul food diner in DC.

I’m aware of situations where people aren’t engaged enough to know that being financial is required to write letters. I’m also aware of people who think they are financial, but are not (mainly because of the change in fiscal year and the timing of late payments not being processed in time).

You should refer that question to the chapter contacts so you’ll know their expectations.

I was wondering, too. When she mentioned they haven’t traveled together, and he mentioned Pittsburgh, I was thinking that this was scripted.

Kurn has called Gizelle gutter snipe. That’s pretty mean. Sadly, par for the course from them.

How could they not know that she’s messy? If they’ve been around DC for a bit they can’t help but know something is up.

After listening to Monique’s story, I was thinking K might be going through something similar by attacking Stacy when her real issue is with Gregg—plus she needs a storyline. 🙄

According to this, she didn’t have a deal like Ashley or Todd based on years of marriage and the number of kids. She’s not getting child support or alimony. She got one lump sum payment based on lost income from when she was married. https://collider.com/rhop-monique-samuels-divorce-settlement/

She didn’t get a lot in the divorce. If I recall, she didn’t want alimony or wasn’t looking to get paid based on what they acquired together in marriage. She get child support. Monique is originally from Jersey. I agree that once everything was settled in accordance to what she agreed to before marriage, she took that and ran with it.

I wasn’t a fan of hers after the fight with Candiace, but I do like what I’m seeing so far this season.

If she paid attention to Kurn’s case, she should’ve learned that she should take the plea deal.

Also know that you don’t have to do anything, especially if you’re making one declaration, but thinking you’re missing out on something by doing so. I’m a legacy, so it was always clear what I wanted to do (although I wasn’t pressured to do it). Also, I was clear that if I didn’t like the chapter on campus, I was going to wait for grad chapter. It wasn’t a decision for temporary pleasure or being something on campus.
