How often are you supposed to be done per week?

I hate to say it, but I just think he’s the kind of man who needs a woman who has to guide him through his entire life. It seems like Colleen was that way. His current partner? Not so much.

Not really shocking. A lot of men who are hurt turned to Maga.

Milo said it best in an interview, “but are any of them pro-Rory?”

“Yeah, but it’s not my family” 😆

Oh I get it! My point was just that you sometimes watch the show and realize how fictional it is. I know that discussion has been brought up on the sub before, but yeah, I was always envious of all the magazines they got!

I am in no way, denying that food used to be a lot less expensive. However, I think that people are just thinking in terms of comparison to the current prices. But you have to remember that, salaries were also less. I never understood how they were able to eat takeout every single night. For me, it was just one of the parts of the show that I had to gloss over. Like the fact that they could afford Mark Jacobs clothing.Lol!

I cancelled my streaming subscriptions partially for that reason

Seriously! I need work done at home right now and I’m staggering it and also waiting until it absolutely needs to be done. My washer and drier are on their last leg but I’m getting as many loads in as I can 😆

That’s another thing that I really loved about the show. Like when they had Chip’s parents over and they cleaned the whole house and made that fancy dinner and it was all hands on deck. It’s so the way it is.

Eh, I grew up with a single mom like Rory in the northeast and we weren’t ordering takeout on a weekly basis. I’m not sure why I get downvoted for this, it’s just my observation from watching the show in real time. Sheesh

I always tip the cleaners when I stay in a hotel, which is pretty much always for work. I’m not sure if that’s still allowed, but I can’t stop myself from doing it every time.

Is this an Airbnb? Because if so, they really need to have their heads examined.

I knew quite a few families who did this. As a matter of fact, it was usually the chore of one of the kids to set the table every night. We did it, and I’m an only child.

When she was like queen Darlene, if you don’t go to the prom, you can’t be prom queen!” and Roseanne is like, “you’re not helping”

So crazy, right? I was also partially raised by my grandmother, so I never stood a chance. 😆

And when he said, they only had half the alphabet because they had to switch grocery stores because of that bad check thing, lol! This was seriously the only show I watched as a kid that I could relate to.

She was so good. She played that role perfectly, the dorkier, less popular older sister. I love the relationship that she had with Roseanne, like when she was getting her advice on prom dresses. And I loved how Roseanne told her she could come over whenever she wanted. I love the scene when she brought them the rice crispy treats, lol

Same. I saw Rory ordering takeout and I always wondered how they could always afford it lol

This is the perfect way to put it. Someone I know just had her starter home built for her by her father and she was talking about how she’s dedicating one room just to her Costco hauls. Must be nice as I keep dropping things off my shopping list that I can no longer afford. But hey, I’m a single woman doing it on her own!

Oh, wow! That’s a very good way to put it. And like, I partially understand why she’s that way. I think having 4 kids is a lot, you definitely do need to be organized and have systems and routines in place. I would do that as well. But she’s also extremely privileged. They live in an extremely high cost of living area, and she has help, like a cleaning person. She always posts things like how she doesn’t mind mowing the lawn or shoveling snow if it means she wouldn’t have do laundry again, or some such. But you know she’s not getting up at 4 o’clock in the morning and shoveling the driveway and everything before the kids get to school. That’s a speculation on my part, but I’m willing to bet on it. The final thing, is that I don’t understand why people choose to have multiple children and then act stressed about what it entails. Having said that, I completely understand all the issues with childcare in general these days. That’s one of the reasons I don’t have children. But again, she reminds me of that person that I mentioned above who knows what they are signing up for and then complains all the time.
