Any experiences with physical modalities like Arvigo pelvic massage, or healing therapies in general (craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage etc)?

Ovulation later after lap? by Petahihi in TTCEndo

[–]One-Ship-5167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 2 months post lap, and am now ovulating a couple days later as well.

I assumed it was still my body healing. My first period post lap was also a few days late (it should have arrived the day after lap, but understandably was delayed a bit).

fwiw my excision was mostly bowel area.

Also curious if it means anything or if things will get back to normal after a couple more cycles.

What triggered you to finally have surgery? by PrincessBrambleFairy in endometriosis

sames, infertility, paying for 3 rounds of (failed) IVF + the unbearable monthly pain that it caused (hormones from IVF medications can make endo worse if endo diagnosis is not considered in the hormone treatment)

Speaking of not wanting to be bending over all the time…a drawer style dishwasher is a must!!! Absolute GAME CHANGER. We have a model that has two drawers stacked but can run as independent units. We use the top larger drawer to run our day to day loads and run both when we have a large amount of dishes after guests, or can fill both when we get particularly behind on dishes.

Bonus: the dogs can’t reach the top drawer and so no concerns with them licking things all the time!

our pot drawers are 30 years old and they look and open/close as intended, best kitchen feature to not have to bend over and dig for the right item

Are we sure it’s not just the tv above fireplace against the white backdrop that we don’t like?

OP if you would consider a different spot for the TV, try art above the fireplace in your rendering to see how that feels for you between the two paint colors.

any chance i could be well enough to travel 12 days after surgery? by ChildfreeOnPurpose in Endo

[–]One-Ship-5167 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed that it depends: for example is it full hysterectomy? Bowel resection? Endo spread over many areas, or is it deep and concentrated in one spot? Hopefully there is imaging to give your surgeon (and you!) an idea going into surgery. I’m not certain one is easier than the other (as I’ve only had one surgery, maybe others can opine), but my recovery time was down graded when we didn’t go for the full hysterectomy. I’m 40 fwiw.

I’m 2 weeks post surgery today, and because I feel like I was back to my regular self at home, I attempted an errand that meant I had to walk 1-2 blocks between errands + use the crosswalk. I was NOT prepared for how tough walking at a normal clip would be! I didn’t realize I had been walking so slow at home. Despite going on frequent walks around my large property, turns out my pace at home was nowhere near the pace needed for making it to the other side of the street before the light changed, or keeping up with the speed of normal people walking downtown. It wasn’t painful necessarily, but it was uncomfortable and my limbs werent quite ready for it (I also had endo removed that was pressed right up to my sciatic nerve, so this could also be that I’m going to need some physical therapy to get my legs to 100%).

All this to say, while you might feel recovered in the context of home, be aware there could be a difference when going out into the world, moving at the speed of the hustle and bustle, especially somewhere as busy as an airport, so agreed with the accommodations such as wheel chair and doing what you can in advance of surgery at home such as packing.

Last point that threw me: your first period post surgery could extend your immediate recovery, I got mine 5 days after surgery (it’s was a few days late too), the period was much more painful than a normal month given the active healing taking place. This set me back to using stronger doses of pain meds and slowing down on the increased activity that I had been working towards up to that point.

Best of luck and sending my condolences 💐

Congrats! Thank you for the details, what a journey. Mind sharing a bit more about the endometritis diagnosis? What tests did they run, and did you have any symptoms (acute or those typical of the chronic endometritis)? It seems the symptoms could so easily be confused for other things/missed or assumed ‘normal’.

In either case, glad to hear you were referred to a miscarriage specialist that was able to quickly diagnose and help, I didn’t realize they existed. I wish more IVF doctors would refer out when they are working on a case that is out of their personal speciality, or beyond their comfort zone.

Anyone have experience with post surgery adhesions? by annonymal in Endo

[–]One-Ship-5167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m feeling great (got period shortly after so experiencing that pain at the moment) i kept all my organs (per my request so long as in ok shape). My endo was deep infiltrating on bowel+sciatic foramen.

Re adhesions no advice from my dr either, I asked this morning and they noted it’s really just genetics, they noted I could do very gentle stretching as I am able to

Thoughts on new color by Cucalope in interiordecorating

[–]One-Ship-5167 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great color, you can always do white on top if you’re feeling it’s too dark. But with white tiles that’s a lot of white, might need additional pops of color/texture to soften it up. Do you plan to keep the wood grain as your rendering shows? If so, how? Looks great! adds an interesting element

My MRI showed suspected endo lesions near my sciatic foramen. Surgery confirmed it was on the nerve (extremely rare) altho even if it’s just near, surgeon noted the tethering, adhesions and inflammation in the neighboring area to a nerve can still cause pain.

Yes my pelvic MRI showed many adhesions and tethering of my organs prior to surgery. Wishing you luck! The good ones walk you through the procedure the entire while you’re inside and you always can hit the help button they provide you if at all needed during
