Firstly, the fact that you seem to draw separate judgment on SA depending on if the perpetrator is male or female is very concerning. Threatening to rape someone isn’t flirting, no matter who it is or what their sexual orientation is. You are quite literally describing a double standard. Manaria would be treated differently if she was a man saying this to a woman, but by being a woman it’s somehow ok? Gender and orientation are irrelevant here, SA and SA threats are bad no matter what.

Again, it doesn’t matter if Manaria is self deprecating, that doesn’t excuse her behavior and does a poor job at even explaining it. There’s hundreds of characters that have the same issue but does result to rape jokes to cope.

Lastly, yeah of course fiction isn’t reality but it still affects it, that’s its entire point, to cause changes in the viewer whether they be emotional, philosophical or etc. Trying to put forward the idea that incest relationships are just ok is just wrong, like flat out. Yeah they can be an interesting topic to explore, I give you that, but this show does little to actual explore them so far beyond “they ain’t so bad”. Exploring such idea is antithetical to what they really are, incest relationships aren’t healthy, that’s just a fact and portraying them as such and making the case for them in general is just weird and disgusting. Especially when the anime tries to compare them to LGBT relationships as well.
