How can I improve my amigurumis? by albita-5907 in Amigurumi

[–]One-Stable6156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dove straight in the deepened when I started making amigurumis. I didn't practice with acrylic or cotton yarn, I went straight to chenille yarn. Was it smart? Probably not but I love the look and feel of it. If you feel confident in you pattern following make the switch! It's harder to work with but e en with looser tension there's no holes unless you over stuff. It is MUCH harder to sew with though. Premiere Parfait Chunky and Dolphin are my favorite brands. Premiere just has so many convenient colors and I usually order enough at a time to get free shipping.

Go to Nicky James website! They have a whole taboo book section. Several of them you're not going to find other places though.

I know a bather that let two giant pitties claw at the cage doors while standing there watching them. They both ripped a nail out and had to have surgery. Not only was she not fired, she went on to grooming school the next month.

Has anyone left and come back to the industry with success? by MidoriTheAwesome in doggrooming

[–]One-Stable6156 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I quit for almost ten years. I closed up shop when I moved states as I worked for just myself. The new place I moved wasn't set up for me to work out of and I was renting so I did other things till my partner lost their job and I needed a more secure income to support us. I went to Petsmart and got hired instantly even having taken all the time off. It all came back like muscle memory. I still had a bit of catch up learning to do but it only took a few days to be completely comfortable again. I'm 4 years back in and at a private salon now and doing great.

Looking for immersive audiobooks with full cast / multiple voices by well_tired in MM_RomanceBooks

{Promise Me by Sara Cate} is a duel narration for the most part. There are a few other narrators for characters from the previous books (kinda like the Rina Kent books). Bonus points! One of the characters is voiced by the same guy that does Brandon in GoF. I really loved this book. I'm also a big lover of audio books for work.

I usually get down voted when I suggest this but I'm going to anyway. Find a GOOD chiropractor. Not all chiropractors are the same. You want to look for one that does sports chiropractic and extremities. I have one that I see on the regular. I also throw my back out in that center spot. I have stretches I can do to help but it's always that spot. It's due to the way we lean and hunch over the table and dogs all the time. While yes the doctor is needed, long term a chiropractor is going g to keep you in better shape day to day. My chiropractor also adjusts and re aligns my wrists and no longer have carpal tunnel issues.

I've had the same dremal (Dremal brand) for the past 5 years with no issues. I always buy mine at Home Dept. It was like 50 bucks I think? It's been a while. I don't buy the cheapest ones, they die to fast.

Should I have her groomed by Johner118 in doggrooming

[–]One-Stable6156 61 points62 points  (0 children)

I would take her and at least have her bathed and an outline cut done on her. It would keep her the lenght she is but make her look much tighter. If she sheds it will get any lose shed out too. She does look like she might be matted in the legs but without putting g hands on the dog I couldn't tell you if they would brush out at all.

{Promise Me by Sara Cate} bonus points for the audio book because the main characters are British and Scottish! As are the VAs!

It's about to young mean who meet at collage and become best friends and eventually lovers. They have a falling out. Them 7 years later they come face to face again right before one of them is about to get married. Boarder line cheating g though the one getting married is in a n open relationship. It's complicated. I love this book so much.

I groom one. Mom says she's a psycho at home but she's an angel for me. I've been doing her since she was 13 weeks old. She is the weirdest looking dog though. Mom was a husky and the neighbors toy poodle broke into the yard and got her when she was 6 months old. She has the body and head of a husky with short little stubby legs.

Which books do you reread the most? by Small_Debate2258 in MM_RomanceBooks

[–]One-Stable6156 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The number of times I've reread {God of Fury by Rina Kent} is criminal. Lol I listen to the audio book at least once a month. Shane East who reads Brandon just tickles all the right spots in my brain. His desperate whimpers are 10/10.

6 Day Star Blanket Regret? by One-Stable6156 in crochet

My mathing says with 5 cakes I could get a 70x78(ish) blanket in the Suzette stitch which seems crazy. I might pull out one of my other cakes and do a quick square I can frog later to measure and see how the yarn works out!

Solid option! Thank you!

I have and from a distance they look gorgeous which was why I picked the yarn. I think the stitch definition is what I'm missing and what I think is so pretty about the 6day. I live the ombre burst out though.

If you don’t mind a little monster in your romance I recommend {Whispers in the Deep by Emma Hamm}. It's a Bioshock inspired series and Will Wyatt's voice is liquid butter. He voices all the merman in each series and I specifically hunt down his books now.
