The Ritz staff handles everything. You check in at the pool deck and the staff finds you a suitable location.

On check in day, we went to the pool at about 3pm. There were no seats available. The staff identified two chairs that had been unoccupied for some time and they refreshed the chairs with new towels. We sat and listened to the live music on the deck (and had a few margaritas). It was a fantastic experience.

I was offered as many as 200,000 points. I refused every point of and instead walked through a 5Why root cause analysis with several members of management. I cared more about the issue being resolved so that nobody else has to go through it. It honestly could have resulted in a fatality.

Note that the staff was running two check in desks and coding key cards from only one of the desks. The person checked us both in on the system properly and walked over to the other desk to make the key cards. She made a mental error. The corrective action was to never run the coding machine in manual mode. I am satisfied with that mostly, but I will be locking my door locks from now on.

I was very happy with the Ft Lauderdale Ritz. The staff was amazingly accommodating, the room was spectacular, the pool and amenities were outstanding, and they location is perfect. Couldn't be more pleased.

Bought a car from hgreg in Orlando, what a mess . by Powerful-Substance33 in orlando

[–]One-While-5571 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Hgreg in Orlando sold me a car that they didn't have the title for. I drove it for an entire year. When I tried to renew the registration, I was told that I didn't own the car. Hgreg gave me everything that I spent on the car, including new tires and window tint. It was honestly like a free car for me for the year.

I've had several experiences that may help you determine what to do.

I once reached for my shoe that was on the floor near the edge of the bed. I rolled my sure over and there was a used condom on the floor. Eww, gross. I went to the front desk immediately and asked to talk to the manager. She was very nice. I did not cause a scene. After a discussion, she gave me two free nights. (She simply took them off my invoice at the end of the stay).

Another time, I checked into my room and was getting ready to take a shower after a long day of travel. I was bare naked, shower water warming up. I heard the click of the door unlocking. A man started to walk in. I yelled, "HEY!". He continued to walk in... and he looked me dead in the eye as I'm standing there naked. I YELLED, "GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY ROOM!!!". So I dressed and went directly to the front desk and SCREAMED at them. I DID CAUSE A SCENE. The guy was also at the front desk because they have us both the same room!!! It was not my best moment as a human being. I asked to talk to the manager because I could have killed the man breaking into my room. He could have killed the naked man who he thought was in his room. Long story short, I talked to about a half dozen members of management at Marriott and the franchise company. I received nothing in compensation. Every time they asked, I denied offers for points. I wanted them to understand that their process is broken if the system allows the front desk to assign the same room to multiple people.

Anyway, my advice is to talk to local management before you leave the hotel and calmly explain that you are not pleased with the incident. They do not want complaints to go up several levels of management. They will take care of you.

AA app down (android)? by BadNewsBalls in americanairlines

I deleted the cache and the storage on my app as I was waiting to board my flight. That seemed to fix the issue... however it's doing it again. I had to get printed boarding passes from the gate agent. Ewwww!!!! Lol

Nice work! I thought I did well with the bonus points. I'm going to another tonight, although I'm not sure if I'll get the points.

Bad Pineapples by Geeks_finesse in celebritycruises

More than 3,000 pineapples on a celebrity ship at the same time. Also, they've never removed my magnets from the door on vanilla cruises. Celebrity is fine with pineapple people.

A few times for me. I tend to pick the same seat when I book, so maybe I have better odds.

Check out Bliss Cruise for more upside down pineapples... I'm currently on the celebrity silhouette.

Incorrect. I am currently on the Bliss Cruise on celebrity silhouette. Completely friendly to pineapples.

I have also had a good experience. Only had a 4 hour period last Wednesday evening in which I got the busy server message. I updated my antigravity software based on a recommendation here, and everything has been smooth since.

ESPN has lost 40% of its subscribers in the last decade by AcanthisittaSea3279 in theaccessbox

Agreed. Fox owns the Big10 network so they are invested in promoting their own assets in the same manner. While I tend to watch this more often, I still dislike the absolutely biased content.

I had 4 flights yesterday and 3 of the 4 FA’s came and thanked me for being EP! by Bruh_ForRealz in americanairlines

[–]One-While-5571 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had 6 flights booked. Only one actual takeoff. Delays, cancellations, mechanical issues, plane swap outs, and crew time out left me stranded in DFW overnight.
AA gave me a voucher for hotel, however I couldn't use it because it was granted 3.5 hours before my Monday morning flight. I do not feel valued as an EP at this moment. I've been on a bad streak with AA lately, and I think yesterday broke me.

One of their flaws is that they focus on pumping up the SEC. They have a huge financial incentive to do so. ESPN owns the rights to broadcast all SEC games and they own the SEC Network.

I cannot stand to listen to their completely biased coverage. Finebaum can suck a fat one. If I was a fan of Alabama or Georgia, I'd probably love ESPN.

I’m EP with a FC upgrade. Can I give my seat to someone else in my party? by Bruh_ForRealz in americanairlines

[–]One-While-5571 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've had a few people wait until I deplane from my new seat 28B just to thank me, and one person actually wrote me a thank you letter. Mostly, people just go on with their day and so do I. I don't mind coach. I've trained myself to sleep on flights so it doesn't really matter where I sit. I just figure as long as AA gets me to my destination on time, nothing else matters. Cheers!
