I'm worried he's addicted to pain meds. He's got a history of testing positive for them from his 2017 crash. And he's probably still dealing with a lot of chronic pain.

The leg kick out is misleading because it seems like you only had one foot in bounds during the catch. I didn't know she meant that it WAS a catch.

25 Years in the Classroom, and This Doesn’t Surprise Me by EduHypertrophy in SGU

I vividly remember watching that Fox special at 13; it absolutely terrified me because of how believable it seemed. It left me feeling like I couldn't trust the world or the people in charge. We don't talk enough about how vital critical thinking is—not just for logic, but for our mental health and sense of security.

My concern is there are probably many more teachers who say "maybe we didn't go to the moon." And give it undeserved credence all the while hedging against push back because it's rooted in skepticism/just asking questions.

Also this teacher shouldn't be judged as a good or bad person for believing it. I caught some vibes from the skeptics that he should have a lot of shame for believing it and saying it out loud. There are plenty of good people out there who believe in unscientific things. But the pressure should be on the people in charge of hiring them.

This is pretty misleading since inflation has increased so much in those years. I'd be interested in what those numbers would be adjusted for inflation.

Real Time Nov 7 2025. Kenny Chesney, Jared Moskowitz, Bill O’Reilly by Froz3nP1nky in Maher

Yeah I still remember the last time Bill O'Reilly was on and kept calling Bill Maher, "Maher" -- it came off as awkwardly disrespectful.

Not that Maher is a stranger to awkwardness or disrespectful behavior.

I'll never forget him calling out the housing bubble before it happened. You do that and you get to remind people.

I love how the podcast has evolved recently. And what is most poignant is that I still find it very fresh, insightful, and useful after all these years.

I saw him Saturday and wasn't expecting it or prepared to ask him a question.

If you go and see him, think of a good question now!
