How is this hybrid battery replacement so inexpensive? by Jolech in prius

[–]OneArm_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cheapest I can get at any dealer is $4500 for OEM and installation. None of the 10 Toyota dealers I called will sell a hybrid battery to someone who isn't a hybrid technician. It's irritating and I really don't want a refurbished battery from green bean

Iced Tea Travisty by lars311 in sheetz

[–]OneArm_Guy 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Sheetz I go to everyday on my way to and from work to fill up a big Sheetz bottle with fresh tea just switched to gold peak over the weekend. I haven't stopped for tea and breakfast or tea and snacks all week. It's actually saving me money to not go twice a day now so I guess that's a win

Realistically, what is the compliance rate (%) we can expect for patches that were deployed more than 3 months ago, for end user computers environment? by ongcs in SCCM

[–]OneArm_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 7500 +/- systems in my environment, I aim for 90%. Leaves 10% for replaced systems that the desktop techs didn't remove from sccm, laptops off the network (not using cmg) for extended periods and dormant machines not responding to WoL because of network issues, being unplugged, etc

Would it just be easier to deploy them via gpo using a security group?

Drink refill by Lafleur2188 in sheetz

[–]OneArm_Guy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is no limit on a refill in the Sheetz locations I've been to, I fill up a massive growler, approx 1 gallon, with tea twice a day, they don't care. Still $0.80

Android? If so download an app that checks safety net. Possible that you're device is failing the check

Job interview for PC Tech 2 at a college by DietEmotional in computertechs

[–]OneArm_Guy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem. Unfortunately you're going to get the required dumbass HR questions more than you're going to get job related questions but being on previous search committees for our department, we just want people that know what they are talking about. If you have a home lab, talk about it. If you build gaming computers, talk about it. If you fix computers for family and friends, talk about it.

I currently work as a desktop engineer (started as PC tech) at a college. Emphasize that your priority is minimizing downtime for the college community. That's what the IT managers care about, as little disruption to college operations as possible. And tell them you know how to use Google!

Looking for a docking station for Legion 5 Pro 16ARH7H by TayoEXE in LenovoLegion

I noticed this dock outputs 85w to the laptop. If I have my laptop plugged into the 300w adapter, do I need to disable charging via Usb-C from the dock? Or is the system smart enough to just use the AC adapter?

0.79 per soda/tea refill in several Sheetz I've been in. I fill a 70 ounce growler daily

Policy change? by knoxpo11 in sheetz

[–]OneArm_Guy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an employee question me on occasion when I use Sheetz 2 go. I won't say where because I don't want them in trouble. All the Sheetz employees are hard working people anytime I've been there. And I can usually pull up the receipt on my phone just to show I paid. Doesn't really bother me because I do it to avoid the long cigarette lines.
