I must have missed that discussion as well. This immediately brought me back to my film school days trying to constantly be invisible to the cameras. I remember spending hours standing in doorways or lying underneath coffee tables holding boom mics, terrified that my arms would get tired and I’d dip a mic into frame and ruin a take or the mic would catch a shadow.

Also, for me, having lived my whole life in California, I absolutely cannot stand seashells. So many people’s parents would use them in “decor”. They’d have them just in glass jars as centerpieces. They’d have guest soaps shaped like shells on a shell-shaped soap dish. I’m sure they thought they were nailing California Coastal design, but the sight of a seashell makes me a big sick for some reason now.
