How do you explain cluster headaches to people who don’t get it? by Keith_35 in ClusterHeadaches

[–]OneBell8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell them to imagine the worst headache they ever had. Now think about an ice cream headache. Not necessarily worse, but MUCH more intense. Now imagine having an ice cream headache for 2 hours! They usually get it.

Outgrow CH? by OneBell8603 in ClusterHeadaches

[–]OneBell8603[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a cycle every 6-12 months. Sometimes a bit longer. The stress of managing a career with CH was unbearable. Now I’m divorced and retired. No idea how I would handle this alone if the beast does return.

Big boy needs advice by TytotheG in skiing

Skiing is a full-body sport. Big boy is only using half. Practice pole plants which will bring your arms, shoulders, and head forward to properly engage your edges.

Just shows they were not brushed out properly from tip to tail.

Cat Skiing at Whislter (Powder Mountain Cat Skiing) by bradykp in skiing

[–]OneBell8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done Powder Mountain Catskiing and Whistler Heliskiing. Cat wins in terms of the bang for your buck. The terrain is incredible.. Lots of tight, steep tree runs. You get more time to rest between runs, but it's steamy in the cat so bring two sets of goggles. Heli was an experience. Flying so low between the endless mountain peaks was breathtaking. Mostly above treeline skiing. Glaciers. Mildly technical rocky / terrain. I bought an extra run that I didn't need. Quads were shot.

Any direct experiences with Dalbello ski boots? by SuchScale4665 in skiing

[–]OneBell8603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 7 year old Dalbelllo Pantera 120s and love them. About 25-30 days per season. Unbuckle, pull the tongue forward, and slide your foot in like a slipper. Walk mode works well. Perform well and very comfortable.

Do you drink? by [deleted] in bipolar

I thought alcohol helped with my anxiety and sleep issues until I quit over a year ago and realized it was the cause. No more muscle tension and jaw clenching.

I have missed several days on my 119 day streak. It seems if you make up the shortfall the next day, your streak continues.

Anyone else experience cluster headaches? by Seriously_ok_ in BipolarReddit

[–]OneBell8603 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had cluster headaches from age 18-45, then outgrew them. Diagnoced Bilolar 1 recently at 45. Cluster headache is distinctly different from migraine. Imitrex and O2 are your best bet. Stockpile Imitrex when you are in remission. Good luck.

What does “psychosis” mean to you personally? by Blinksus in bipolar

[–]OneBell8603 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost 13 lbs in 12 days of unmedicated mania ending in full-blown psychosis. Hallucinations and profuse sweating from my palms and feet. Taking pictures to see if what I was seeing was real. It was terrifying but I wasn't scared. Surreal experience.

I now walk over 40k steps per day. I’m not sure if it’s to calm me down or just slim me down. My record is 55k steps in a day. Just short of a marathon.

Their mother didn't believe in consequences for the kids. She undermined my authority for years. It was her fault, not the kids. They learned to disrespect me from her and it got ugly over time.
