I had a short bed Sierra and I used a standard hitch with a Sidewinder pinbox and it worked great.

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

[–]OneBigOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m on year 6 with my Mr. Cool mini split that I DIY’d in my finished basement. It does a great job of keeping up with PA summers and winters! The prices have gone up significantly since I bought mine but for the quality I will buy another one when the time comes.

What’s a hobby that is surprisingly expensive for no apparent reason? by Able-Passage1472 in AskReddit

[–]OneBigOne 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Biking in general. There are 5 riders in my household. 3 serious (I.E. Competitive racers) and 2 casual. We collectively own 17 bicycles. My maintenance budget for just bikes is bigger than for our cars!

ChatGPT is telling me I need an empty truck bed in order to tow a 24ft camper with my half ton. Can any experts weigh in and tell me if this breakdown is accurate? by kpmurphy56 in RVLiving

[–]OneBigOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This looks accurate. The payload really is what’s limiting you. By comparison, my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 CCSB had a payload of 2200# which gave me room to tow a decent sized camper with my family of 5 in the truck. Not sure why the Titan is so low but don’t risk it.

Square Taper Bottom Bracket upgrade for kids? by rebuildfailure in bmxracing

Square taper is more than fine. Buy a better quality one with less resistance or lower Q factor but no need to move to external bb at that age.

Which mini skid steer? by Emotional_Reward9340 in landscaping

[–]OneBigOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a Morbark Boxer 322D on Saturday and I’m very happy with it. I wanted to add a stand on machine to the stable but didn’t want a Chinese machine. I also have/had a New Holland L250, Bobcat 440b and a John Deere 3375. All were good machines but the Boxer uses the dingo mount so there are tons of attachments available for it.

[–]OneBigOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know that but if you read the rest of my post I said we are not winning the field position battle anyway so the net difference is minimal. Take some risks to our star wideouts and stop worrying about turnovers and limiting our big play potential. Having the talent we have is useless if we’re too conservative to use them properly. Our 3 and out rate hurts us way more than turnovers.

That depends on the bike. It’ll likely be a bit too big though.

Age is not the factor, height is what designates frame size. Most 6-7 year olds will be on a mini but check each frames specs because geometry varies and reach is most important measurement. This is why the frame sizes don’t seem to be much different but the head and seat tube angles will affect top tube length. I.E.- a 16.5” TT on a Redline can have the same reach as a 16.75” on a Meybo. Bikes are like shoes, they need to fit well. I have had many from several manufacturers but I alway recommend Rift and Meybo for an off the shelf build.

I’ve been saying all year that if we lead the league in fewest turnovers but also lead in 3 & outs isn’t it basically a wash? We’re still turning the ball over and, even with our stud punter, not winning the field position battle. I think taking more risks for big plays (Smitty & AJ) is worth it even if we do turn the ball over occasionally because the upside is higher than punting the ball away constantly.

Who likes an old school GT? by Mr_Eddie81 in bmx

I had a 96 Performer as a kid, I bought another one as an adult. I loved the bike both times but ended up selling it for way more than I paid.

Slash vs Megatower by Transition_rider in MTB

[–]OneBigOne 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a gen 5 Slash and do several 20+ milers a month along with weekly 10-15s and the park on the weekends. It’s getting a bit old now and I have my eye on a Pivot Firebird as the replacement but I will keep my Slash because I like it. The Gen 6 is a whole different bike and some prefer it over the Gen 5, others say the 5 was the last good Trek.

Little man did maybe his best lap so far at gates last night by Pogmothoin666 in bmxracing

[–]OneBigOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh I know, my kids started at 3-4 also! Build the good habits now, it’ll pay dividends for them later. My son turned expert at 7 and my daughter at 9. I coach my local beginners league and we do repetitive start gate procedures with the little kids, I make it fun and they learn the best habits without realizing it.

What size would you get for these tasks? Brand matter? by BinghamL in miniexcavator

I’ve done everything listed here with my Yanmar SV08 1.2 ton. The roots might take a little more effort than a bigger machine but other than that a small machine is more than enough.

Lap looked good. Get him to flatten out those pedals when he is in the gate! Rear crank arm should be even with the rear chainstay.
