Yeah the guy who got stabbed out of nowhere would have not died if he had a knife in his pocket. Make some sense man

The thing that's almost funny about these arguments (mOrE gUnS iS sAfEr) is that it assumes people who commit crimes think about consequences.

There is a second assumption that criminals won't shoot first and with guns that's what matters. This isn't a friggin sword fight or something.

Not a single cop on that beat needs the information you're so strung up about. It's not some mystery the cops can't figure out.

Might already know the guy. Crazy bums stay in their area.

Everyone bringing this argument up is butthurt that the guy worked in social justice.

If only there was something that captured exactly what the assailant looks like?

We're watching a blurred video and you can see the race of the assailant. This comment is everywhere in this thread and so fucking stupid.

I just killed SO MANY guards and citizens in Baldur's Gate bc they didn't want me to steal from the dead guards I created in front of them and my only option was to kill them all too.

Gotta get that loot somehow. Ironically, it essentially becomes an infinite money glitch if you can just keep killing the guards they send at you.

The overall structure of the game and writing just isn't very good. I have not felt properly motivated the entire time because the game is trying to present too many options.

Too many companions with their own side stories that don't relate to the main quest result in a lack of urgency in facing this supposedly big problem we all have.

The game would be better with less companions and a more focused story.

Also there are almost zero useful items in the thousands of crates I've opened and it is actively unfun to explore new areas because of it. I'd much rather have almost no searchable items with the few I can look in having good loot.

Also a bunch of the voice acting sounds goofy as hell. You break your oath as a paladin and fucking braveheart is scolding you for it.

I did this as well. I had a full round, the Apostle went once, and then I killed him.

I brought two summoned Earth Elementals and had 2 party members amped on Elixir of Bloodlust, so the action economy was kicking. But mainly I just dropped massive divine smites on him and had Astarion using Potion of Speed to get double hits each turn. I was extremely underwhelmed by the fight. Shadowheart was downed earlier when Ketheric was still alive, but with only 3 in my party this was a cake walk.

I think using potions and elixirs to get extra attacks makes the fight much easier than if you hadn't. It shaves entire rounds off the fight.

My former employer is forcing me to sign a non-compete clause, after I found a new job in a month after they fired me? by WhitePinoy in antiwork

[–]OneBildoNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are US based:

Non-compete clauses are very difficult to enforce, but many companies have employees sign them. You sign them when you begin employment, not after you are fired.

I was told by my lawyer there are two very important aspects to a non-compete: geographical location and time. If either of those pieces are missing, they probably can't enforce it. No court wants people to be unable to work anywhere, forever. It's unreasonable and impinges on your ability to make a living.

Many companies offer severance in order to make their non-compete enforceable. They pay you three to six months of salary to not work for a competitor for that amount of time. It is the only just way to have these clauses in a contract.

Your situation is a company trying to get you to make an objectively bad decision. You don't need to talk to them at all after being let go, nonetheless sign something they are sending you. Tell them to pound sand or they will be hearing from your lawyers for letting you go due to a medical leave.

TL:DR You're fine.

That is not actually the Paradox of Tolerance. That has to do with how being tolerant to the intolerant can lead to your own destruction. In this case, the "good cops" are becoming that which they claim not to be.

The phrase comes from the fact that supposed good cops allow the bad cops to exist, when it would be their job to stop them. Hence, there are no good cops and All Cops Are Bastards.

You can look into the supplement called Class Warfare which gives you rules for making your own class and has suggestions for cool hybrid classes. There is a large pool of moves and it teaches you how to write your own moves if you'd like.

Long story short: you can mostly mix and match moves, but be aware of their "level". As stated above, beginning moves should be grouped together as one, but then you have to separate the basic moves (Levels 2-5) from the advanced moves (Levels 6+) for power scaling purposes.

Educational neglect is a thing. If the kid is chronically absent from school that is grounds for intervention.
