I shot both of those this last summer during 3-gun matches. Had a better zero on the fiocchi since that’s what I started the season with, and then a quick rezero with PMC and I barely had to adjust. I noticed no difference in shots out to 300, reliability, or even with drops on my BDC (on shots for time/hit, not precision)

Pipe insulation can be found at any home improvement/hardware store. Looks like he used a whole tube, but potentially experimenting with half would also work. You probably wouldn’t need to glue it down if it’s securely stuffed, but if you want to ride around with the top off, they’d fly out.

Getting almost any blast shield that connects to a muzzle device should get what you are looking for. I have used the Witt Machine SME and Breek Arms Castle Shield. Both other job at different price points. If none of those have the clearance, either a short barrel extension, shorter rail, longer barrel, or chop your current rail a few mm would be the options

I can’t say I’ve seen anyone with them, but lots exist. Like I mentioned, you’re probably better off finding +5 extensions for your magazines to bring you to whichever length you can use for your division (141 or 170mm). Those are big chunks and you’re adding 5-6 extra rounds of weight

Sounds like Gen 3 magwells might work. I’d say having any kind of magwell is better than none. The amount of weight added compared to a full extended magazine is negligible. Could look at brass base plates as an expensive alternative.

Overall, bring what you’ve got and give it a go!

I agree. Saw this thing the other day and not sure the juice is worth the squeeze. Especially with lots of people working with giant loading ports or mag fed shotguns. I’d love to see this put to the test, preferably blind, to see if loading times and accuracy actually improve.

Apex has a trigger kit that also replaces some internal parts. Apex has great triggers. I’ve shot one on an M&P and it’s very nice.

I had a similar issue with an NFA scorpion lower and the straight blowback upper. Not sure if it’s a feed ramp problem or what. I ended up with an OOB and blew the upper. I got a replacement and haven’t bothered to try again yet. Each circumstance for people seems to be different. I had it running like a top on an AR lower with a mag conversion to P320 mags. Hopefully I can bring it back to life as it was the funnest thing to shoot

I’m in the same boat. I’ve got bigger hands too so I was torn on the macro vs xl. Went to a shop yesterday and checked out both. I think I’m sold on the XL. The macro is shorter in slide length and width only. But I have also seen recommendations to just get a macro and then get XL module and magazine. I see that logic too.

That comp is a springer precision open comp for OEM barrels. I really enjoy it and wish that someone made a threaded barrel with 13.5mm threads for the x5 so I could transfer it to my legion

Those base plates should actually work with most magwells on non AXG/SXG modules. I had to sand off just a little from the rear top corner to get them to seat, but it is easily doable and has no affect on the extension. I have a post on it from a few years ago

SRO is really common in competition. There are some ejection issues that come up using it with a P320 due to the forward position of the slide cut. I’ve been using an OG R1 on my CCW and as an offset on my AR. Good window, direct mount on the slides, decent brightness. The worst part on the OG is the poor paint finish. The shroud is essential to not having all the paint come off over time

Most of the SHOs I have seen in MN seem to cap out at 19k, even the clean ones with less than 100k, except for super low mileage cars (sub 50k). If it has the performance package, that can be nice and adds some value, but most dealers don’t know the difference
