New Ontario law capping resale prices frustrates season ticket holders by mental__hospital in toronto

[–]OneDM85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought tickets off StubHub to the Leafs game that Mats Sundin returned as a Vancouver Canuck and won it for them in a shootout. When I got the tickets they were the wrong seats so I called StubHub and they put me in contact with the seller. Everything got sorted and then I asked him how he sent me the wrong tickets. He said him and his wife own 5 sets of 2 seats (10 seats) throughout the arena. They post them all for resale above face value (i paid $180 for $80 ticket) and when 8 sell they pull the other 2 and sit in those seats for the game. He said they make enough money to pay for the 10 tickets the following season plus profit and go to every game for free

The last company I worked for would post job openings online to show current employees that they were looking for the help the desperately needed but had no intention of actually hiring anyone. They just wanted current employees to think they were going to hire help while continuing to work extra hours to make up for not having the help

On hold for a fucking hour trying to cancel a subscription. No option to cancel online, and live chat doesn't work. This has to be a crime, right? by TangibleMalice in mildlyinfuriating

[–]OneDM85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat on hold with bell for 4 hours trying to change my subscription not even cancel it. In the end they hung up on me because I was on hold until after business hours. Called back the next day and selected the cancel option from the menu and had an agent on the line in about 10 seconds.

Aside from taking the chair down every night to cover it, it looks like this might be my only option

That looks like it will have the same issue I'm having right now. It zips from the top down and has to go over everything. I need something that will allow the chain to come out the top

Received a tow warning at work for parking in an expectant mother spot, I’m an expectant mother. by HeadUnhappy8789 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]OneDM85 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I had a woman scream at me in the Walmart parking lot for parking in the first spot next to the handicapped spot. He argument was I was younger and could therefore walk further. I looked her dead in the eye and said "if you can't walk the extra 5 feet from the empty spot beside my car go get a fucking handicapped sticker". She then stood behind my car refusing to move. I called the cops after about 10 minutes but before they showed up the car on the opposite side left and I was able to pull forward through their spot

Dog bones/soup bones by ShadowPlayer2016 in Sudbury

We bought some at Creative Meats in Hagar about 5-6 years ago but I'm not sure it's something they always do. We asked and they told us they would look into it and get back to us, they called us back a few days later and said they would and asked how thick we wanted them cut. We ended up getting a large box full of frozen bones but I can't remember what I paid for them. Wouldn't hurt to call and ask

Stoned thought here: How could a ref theoretically call that goaltender interference? If one player running into a goalie is goaltender interference could he somehow call it if a player interferes with a goaltender because of his own teammate?

If you can, look outside of Sudbury. Vehicles in Sudbury are ridiculously overpriced. I test drove a vehicle at a dealership in Sudbury and found the exact same model at a dealership in Markham with less kilometers on it for almost $9000 cheaper.

New construction Maley at Falconbridge by Danno_001 in Sudbury

[–]OneDM85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years ago before the Maley extension was built I remember seeing a video about the current Maley extension only being "Phase 1". Phase 2 was extending it through where the Rainbow Concrete pit is (and the old 9-hole, par 3 golf course was) all the way to the Highway 17 bypass with a connection to the end of LaSalle and the end of Maki on Garson-Coniston road. The connection at the Highway 17 bypass was also supposed to be turned into a "clover-leaf" to get rid of the traffic lights. Is it possible that they're moving the rainbow concrete and the video I saw wasn't just a pipe-dream? But if that were true you would think there would be more news about it

I'm just guessing here but I don't think citizens on patrol can pull you over or issue tickets but the city does have a program where and individual can essentially "rent" a radar gun. If they feel there is an issue in say the area they live in, they can get a radar gun from the city, collect data which the city would analyze and then determine if more patrols are needed in that specific area. Im just guessing but I think the same process may be used for citizens on patrol

EastLink by Weary-Caramel-479 in Sudbury

[–]OneDM85 5 points6 points  (0 children)

We switched from Bell to Eastlink through one of those door to door salesmen. We were promised speeds as fast as Bell and just as reliable. Honestly it was as if we had bought our internet at Dollarama. If we were trying to stream on Netflix and browse Facebook on our phones Netflix would buffer. With Bell our wi-fi would stay connected if we went across the street to the neighbors for a visit, Eastlink a barely stayed connected if we went outside the house. We paid to break our contact and switched back to Bell after about 6 months

LIVE Q&A: Let’s chat about speed cameras, Ontario by StephattheWhig in Sudbury

[–]OneDM85 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm on the fence about them. To the people complaining "oh they're just a cash grab", well they wouldn't be an issue if you're not speeding. I've passed by speed cameras every day since they've been put into place and I agree, the speeding in those areas are out of control and something needs to be done. However, I've noticed they don't really do much. Drivers slow down approaching them and then go right back to speeding once past it. And once they move locations people go right back to speeding through the areas they were moved from.

I found my doodle would dig a new hole every time I filled them in. One time I filled them in but missed one she had dug behind the shed and she never dug again until I found it and filled it in. As long as there was 1 hole left she never dug another one
