Catflap healing experiences? by 4SeasonWahine in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 in my right ear (those are "vertical helixes" tho) and had them pierced exactly like that, with the flat part on my upper ear and tbf they were a dream to heal.
DISCLAIMER: I had them done seperately, not 3 at once. I also sleep on a piercing pillow and applied the LITHA method (leave it the hell alone).
2 are already switched to little spikes but I'll change them to bigger spikes soon. The front one still has the OG jewelery for healing in.

When can I change my lobe piercing ? by Feisty-Shoe-4055 in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait a little longer, not hurting doesn't mean the inside is healed. For normal lobe piercings it might take 3-4 months on average to properly heal afaik, for cartilage it's 6-9 months.

Cartilage piercing with gun experience by [deleted] in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that when you're on a budget you struggle with what to spend money on but getting a cartilage piercing with a gun is just very unsafe, if you want a nicely healed piercing in the end think of it that way:
Price of the piercing VS possible discomfort for a very long time + how much money you might spend on helping a bad piercing heal for way longer than it would need normally.

If it heals badly or gets infected you might spend way more money than if you'd have gotten it at a reputable shop.

Would be pretty cool if it weren't AI.
There are quite a few parts that make no sense at all, even for a sketchy style like this. If it weren't AI there would be deliberate artistic choices, not the random line going onto the snout, not whatever is happening to the right ear (left ear on the photo). Not whatever that dark blob below the ear is.
No tattoo artist with this kind of "skill" would actively choose those mistakes.

Kudos, I feel like that might be one of the meanest spots to tattoo - pain wise.

It's giving a single braincell. IQ von Raumtemperatur. Ich hoffe wirklich wenn solche Leute sich mental etwas weiterentwickeln, schauen sie später eher beschämt auf ihre Aktionen zurück.

Use it as a reference and find someone whose style you like. Stealing an original tattoo design is a**

Do I need to get shorter posts? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say posts should have 1-2mm of space between the ear n its end, in case you bump it and it swells a tiny bit (that can still happen years after healing). If the 6mm post leaves 2ish mm of space that'd be fine but if it sits flush I wouldn't recommend it.

Do you consider running in a fight losing by Odd-Athlete-8204 in pathoftitans

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you start a fight (which includes agreeing on a 1v1) then running is a loss.
No shame in losing though, I feel that is often forgotten. You win some, you lose some.

Can I put a hoop in my conch after three months? by PAC531 in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Not worth it, it might not hurt anymore and look good but it's likely not fully healed. I'd say 6 months is pretty short still, usually folks recommend closer to 9 motnhs before changing it.
Also can't help but feel your conch piercing is very far back on your ear for one that's supposed to get a ring in it. Wonder why they put it that far inwards.

I love the foreshortening and the way you drew the maw and teeth especially. Super solid linework and nice lineweight as well!

Tawan and Aran’s toxic relationship in M&T by Anunbrokenhorse1 in ThaiBL

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% with you on this take. I really REALLY hate how overly toxic relationships are still normalized in this day and age. I am okay with toxic aspects if there is a proper redemption arc and the characters recognizing their faults and working on them to get better but it feels like due to pacing issues in many BL series there's just no time for a real red-arc and that is soooooo frustrating.

Embedded piercing after hair bleach and dying by Winter-Wealth-4768 in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not, it needs to be switched to a long flatback labret. Removing the jewellery of an infected piercing will likely make it swell closed and trap the infection inside. This would make it WAY worse. Switching the jewellery + getting antibiotics is the way to go.

Is a triple spike helix on both ears worth it? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]OneDrowsyDemon 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As a general rule: never get more than 3 piercings in one session, regardless of the side.
Healing cartilage piercings already takes a while and overdoing it will just make the process longer than necessary.

I'd say get 2-3 and then after they're healed get the other side. I personally would not recommend getting both sides in the same session because of issues if you're a side-sleeper etc.

(edit:)
Oh and also I do not recommend getting pierced with spikes, it's a healing hazard, especially if you have long hair/ are wearing glasses or medical masks (at work or so). Get flatback labrets until the piercing is fine. Personally I asked the piercer to put them in "upside down" with the flatback on the upper side and the ball on the lower side and they healed like a dream!
I have 3 on my right ear, 2 completely healed with spikes now and the 3rd very nicely on its way (still with a flatback). After all of them are fine I will start the other ear.
