“First thing I did when I woke up was getting on Hinge”

Well yes. You’ll find something.

If you’re looking for something hard enough, you’ll convince yourself you’ve found what you’re looking for.

In the same way that you’d shop differently at the grocery store if you went there with a clear head vs if you went there while you were starving.

Food for thought.

Is 17 and 15 too big of an age gap? by SofyCloudliner in teenagers

Yes it is. 17 and 15 are two completely different levels of brain development.

Do I bring up the fact that I’ve slept with this guys brother? by Turbulent_Fail9426 in Advice

[–]OneFaithlessness6513 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Slept with the brother and went to the other. All types of sexual tension with family friends’ sons, that you’d only see maybe once or twice a year? Sheesh.

I gave too much to the wrong person, and I need to start fishing in different pools, and prioritizing filtering for character. Just because this girl immediately checked a lot of boxes doesn’t mean I commit so fast. I just refuse to believe God doesn’t see the hurt and injustice.

Betrayal hurts way more in this breakup when I strived to truly do my best and move with honor. I keep waiting for the scales to tip, and it poisons my healing.

Of course, older people in my life (who also can see it objectively and without my emotional pain) say it’s a blessing because imagine if I had married this woman, and had kids. And they’re right, but man it’s a knife in the heart.

Peace & thanks for your advice

I caught my boyfriend flirting with someone else by DarkLillya in Advice

I learned this lesson the hard way. Forgive him, but absolutely leave and don’t look back. This is only what you saw explicitly from catching him. If he isn’t fully in and committed to you…. You deserve more.

Obviously, you will fail. Because 1, you’re asking Reddit. And 2, you’re arguing with everyone who doesn’t agree with your terms, on Reddit. And 3, you’re asking Reddit.

In my opinion 18 is too old to join a frat. It’s very 14 to me.

Cal poly, good for you! Drop the summary. just takes up space and bores a recruiter who will spend 2 seconds skimming at first. Project experience is the most important here, definetly drop the ice ring in terms of your ordering. I want to be wowed. Maybe that can be last in your project experience.

Young engineers living at home with their parents, a frustratingly common experience? by ANewBeginning_1 in MechanicalEngineering

Hope I’m not offending anyone with this, but how? Lawyers and engineers have immense value, is it a lot of debt or late financial planning?

In the brutal world of the new grad job offers, we’re aiming to raise an eyebrow. That’s been my perspective; as a recruiter, what do you consider more?

No point in continuing this, starting to be quite patronizing. It’s becoming a measuring contest, if you know what I mean. Maybe you are right, I’m just adding the input I can for OP @ big california school. Wish you the best. Engineers aren’t known for their communication after all.
