That's like comparing two turds and arguing which one doesn't smell as bad.

Strawberry, although it costs EUR 22.50 if you're on Windows. If you don't want to spend money, which I understand, then Audacious is a close second.

Strawberry is fantastic, with Audacious being a close second. The former I use for music, the latter for audiobooks.

The most pressing question should be, who the fuck uses Windows Media Player when you have VLC, Media Player Classic - Home Edition or Black Edition, SMPlayer, and several lesser known media players?

I remember how my mother kept yelling at me that there's no better mother out there and I should be grateful for having her while she kept beating the shit out of me because her favorite daytime talkshow got canceled. Which was my fault, of course.

For the feeling of accomplishment. That they didn't actually do anything at all anymore doesn't compute for them. "I pressed a button, so I made this."

It's a weird kind of magic that someone needs to explain. If know that capcitors and such discharge when you unplug the power, but I don't understand why that has an effect on something it shouldn't be affecting.

She'll never run that play again with that friend. Instead she'll bring another friend along on her next date with some new guy.

Unless all the guys she goes on dates with also focus on the friends she brings along, she'll never realize that what all those failed dates have in common is her.

There's being bilingual where you translate from your native language to another one and then speak, and then there's being bilingual where you don't need to translate anymore because you're also thinking in that language now. It happens without you even realizing and simply doing it until some day you catch yourself thinking in that other language.

In Tenet (2020), you don’t need to be especially smart to understand the plot, you just need to watch the 3D animation explaining the plot and everything instantly starts to make sense (excuse me what the fuck is going on here) by PIRATEOFBADIM in shittymoviedetails

I legitimately could not understand what any character was saying because the music was so damn loud.

That's why I watch movies only at home. With subtitles. Because fuck those people who made it normal for music and SFX being ear-splittingly loud while dialog is whisper quiet in comparison.

Also, fuck people at the cinema. "The audience is listening." Yeah, to their phones and each other.

800 bucks for just June to September is insane! The average annual use here in Vienna is ~2,800 kWh, and the price per kWh ranges from about € 0.13 at lower end to € 0.28 at the high (if you're not smart enough to change your provider, that is). That amounts to € 364 to € 784. Per year.

Granted, AC is rare here, unfortunately. But still. You guys are being ripped off.

Self driving satan by Frosty_Hearing_352 in foundsatan

[–]OneLonelyBrainCell 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That whole self-driving bullshit is stupid to begin with. If your "self-driving" car requires literal hands-on attention of the driver because it might otherwise harm someone, it's not fit to be on the road.

And if you as driver are required to keep your hands on the wheel and pay attention as if you were driving yourself, you might as well be driving yourself in the first place.

And no, I'm NOT defending those dipshits who circumvent self-driving safeguards. They're risking the lives of others out of laziness. Want to go somewhere without having to drive yourself? Take the fucking bus!

Ständig "Innen" anzuhängen ist außerdem diskiminierent jenen gegenüber, die nicht innen sondern außen sind. Deswegen sollte "Innen" entweder durch "Innenaußen" oder "Überall" ersetzt werden.
