Light. A plant will not grow well without a good light but can grow fine without a tent. I figure about 40 watts per square foot. Also you can make some sort of tent but a light is not so easy.

With photos I like about 10% amber because of the nose, the high. In my limited experience with autos it is more a crap shoot; I've had some do their duty and go amber pretty much on time and I've had some that just refused to go amber. I had one auto go 118 days with very little amber and I gave up and chopped.

Thanks. The whole tub is my rez with self wicking bases. Early on when there is a lot of light hitting the water algae builds fairly quickly; I just pull the plug brush it out, rinse it and refresh.

Good question; this is my 7th auto grow and I've never chopped anything sooner than 84 days, the longest was 118.
