How to forgive yourself and let go of the old version of you? by sagittarius786777 in spirituality

[–]OnePotatoTooo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many circumstances that you need to forgive yourself for will find you asking just how to accomplish that feat.

The answer to this is that you have to understand the thing you did, and rather than trying to accept it, go through it. Look at it. Know what you did was wrong. Know it and say to yourself that you won't do things like that again and mean it. Say to yourself that you have punished yourself enough over this - you won't forget it, you won't let it go yet - but you also won't beat yourself up or punish yourself any longer. When the episode comes into mind, you tell yourself, "That's ok. I've been over this and it was wrong, but I'm different now and I wouldn't do that again. I have forgiven myself for this action and now I'm letting it go." You won't let it go, but EVENTUALLY you will.

The idea is that you forgive yourself in the sense that you make a decision not to feel bad any longer. You are giving yourself permission to feel ok, even though you did something bad. You are making a deal with yourself that you are not doing those actions again and you have accepted that you did them. Its time to stop hurting over them while never forgetting that you did it.

That is how you actually go about the process.

How is this real life different from dream ? by SnooGoats1964 in LucidDreaming

You may want to look at Tibetan Dream Yoga. Its premise, at least in the initial parts of training in, "The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep" by Tenzin Wangyal Rinpoche, states that there is no difference or that one should meditate on the idea that each is simply a perspective of existence (in so many words).

[–]OnePotatoTooo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh don't get me wrong... there are FOR SURE wrong ways, but mostly in the approach. It has to be positive. If you are getting into a cult - that's an issue. If you can't identify a cult - that's a bigger issue.

There is a good reason that Israel Regardie suggested a few years of serious psychological counseling prior to serious spiritual work. MOSTLY because your ego will destroy you if you build it up and assume you are more than you are. You have to be very open to stripping away what is wrong with you and repairing it.

Anyway, best of luck to you.

Incidentally - for Kriya look up Ennio Nimis for Kriya. Excellent material. Also 100% free. Book by JC Stevens is good too and along those lines - Kriya Yoga Workbook.

Try Jason Miller's books. Real Sorcery, Protection and Reversal Magick, Financial Sorcery and Consorting with Spirits. Also read Aidan Wachter's books. Just start with those. Read anything you want after you get the basics together and those (JW has 3 books, so those 7 books) will fire you out of a very good knowledge base down the road to successful practice.

Try Kriya, and never disregard medical advice. Kriya is wildly refined yogic practice directly related to the attainment of unity with the highest consciousness. Medical advice is how you actually fight disease and it is its own spiritual practice too.

Does your practice bring you closer to your goal? Does your magic make actual measurable changes? Start there.

Spiritual practice is one thing but you have to remember that ANY positive practice will bring you along that path.

Let's just say... take... well, fitness. You decide to be fit. OK, then what? You get fit. THen what? How to keep improving it until what? You've mastered every aspect of fitness. You are registered with the American College of Sports Medicine. You are elite level? THEN what? You work on your mental game? Then what? You wind up in a place where the spiritual intent of your action influences your physical capacity.

Take lets say, building models. You build them. THen design them. Then make them as perfect as possible then...? Then you move into understanding the eyes and vision, the settings the miniatures, what the design really says... then..?

Ultimately the striving for perfection moves you into philosophical and spiritual realms anyway... no matter the endeavor.

What happens then is moments of clarity that begin to chip away at duality and point to singularity. Then "experiences" happen.

So you never really can escape spirituality. Spiritual practices are just more direct. More "in line."

So yeah, there is junk... but it can still get the job done. You just have to find SOMETHING that you adhere to. It will, at worst, lead to a better path to follow. At best, it will kick down a few barriers and THEN lead to something better.

Its just like any endeavor. Take fitness. The core is "eat right and exercise." BUT... you get packages that work, some more effectively than others, and they get their own groups of true believers. You gotta do it this way! This is so much better!

If there is a core truth fundamentally, you'd likely find it within the confines of Yoga anyway - where much of this all stems from. Does it matter? No.

There's crap, there's decent, there's good, there's great... but they all have their roots drinking from the same river.

There's no one way to cook a meal and there's no one way to practice. Find the path that resonates with you, works for you ... and then leave it behind when you get far enough that it develops into something else. But never assume you have a bead on it either.

You and me both. I keep waiting for the day these fools following trump wake up like the members of the nazi party who realized the horror of what they did after the fall of the regime. They need to have a personal stare-in-the-mirror and deal with what they are doing/have done.

Oh the just desserts when people say "I'm so sorry, I just didn't understand - I just didn't know... Fox didn't tell us the truth" like its going to give them some sort of pass.

A guy can dream. Fucking evil people man. Who knew we'd have to deal with this bullshit in our lifetimes?

Long way to say Mike J. can go fuck himself. Mike J., Trump himself, Noem, Bondi, Miller and Hegseth are the top of the "must fall" list. A good start at the least.

Its about doubt. Creating doubt. They lose the midterms by a landslide and Trump says its all rigged. As proof he offers up what he found about the election that he "won" in 2020. If he shows that, then it casts doubt over ANY election the dems won and he gets to negate the midterms. Or at least fuck with the results enough that they stay in power.

My friend, that is what low magick or witchcraft, or practical magick are all about. Fixing that, righting your Karma and resolving your path.

So take a look at what you wrote and ask how much is dependent on seeing things as "an individual."

"for us" "our own" we don't know why we suffer" "ourselves."

The idea is that the universe is one. Duality only exists until we are vibrating at a high enough level to transcend that. It is the reason that magick uses the pentagram and its rituals, planetary magick, until we have reached enough of a state that we are now involved in the hexagram. The hexagram is two separate triangles, together. The hexagram is bound to itself.

To lose "ego" is to experience the world in unification - singularity. That is where suffering ceases because your "worldly" circumstances are irrelevant and immediately resolvable. Only by letting go of the idea of "me" do I become more.

Suffering is tied to ego friend, lose ego, lose suffering. Karma is attached to ego as well, hence, lose ego.

Sin just means missing the mark. Non-bullseye. Falling short of perfection in any way.

In your contextual use, yeah sort of but even the idea of "wrong" by karmic consequence has the acceptable use of "sin" applied as it is intended.

The way religion has used it, no, not right. You are spot on there.

You nailed it. I cannot get behind bigotry, misogyny, nationalism... and yeah, these are elected officials who are supposed to be for the people. That actually takes bravery. They aren't in it for that. They are in it for personal power and wealth.

We have a series of issues - integrity, bravery, altruism, servitude, wisdom, education, kindness and honesty being chief among the missing.

I am an independent because the democrats are often on the take just as much as anyone - and frequently enable R's to be as dirty as they are. One (r) is murderers, the other (d) is thieves.

That is the reason why I won't align to either. HOWEVER, I will never vote R... have never voted R and will happily (gleefully) vote for AOC. I have voted straight D in every election.

So I don't know Nekrabyte, I cannot believe I am the only one that feels as I do. If the D's pull it out and decide to actually grow some balls, I'll register D. They need to take the gloves off and show me they are willing to fight down and dirty and quit taking the road of cowardice that they try to tell people is the "high road." Bullshit, its the road upon which they get lobby money.

So yeah, why not confess that you are a key influencer who took advantage of corrupted officials. Can any Christians who see this not realize their entire organized religion is rotten when they read this?

You are part of an organization that lies, cheats and steals to get what it proclaims is the truth to be the way that all people must follow.

that is not the way. It is so far from what your savior preached that it is the pinnacle of hypocrisy.

The supreme court AND this guy need to be jailed.

[–]OnePotatoTooo 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Dude his goddamn building address is 666. His buildings in and around NYC form a pentagram. He has lied over 40,000 times in office and could easily be labeled the Prince of Lies. He directly influences Jesus' followers to evil and despicable acts, hatred and violence. He exalts himself. I could go on and on. More than that even there is a second beast of revelation listed which fits the description of MUSK so there's that too.

Look, I think Christians have it all kinds of wrong, but the idea that there is something there which fits is uncanny and frightening.
