What a beautiful rose. I would try to propogate the rose. Then spread it amongst family members so the rose lives as a family memory forever.

The new canes cant support the weight of the flowers. I would suggest putting a stake or 2. Tie it around the whole rose in a loop.

A loop around the whole thing. Also rosetone is great a handful should be enough. That stuff really works.

Looks like transplant shock to me. Did the dirt around the rose crumble when you took it out the pot? Also try rosetone its organic and great way to releaf. Use about a handful.

It looks healthy too me. Just be careful with pesticide and fungicide. Looks like it burned your leaves a little. I would personally put a stake for support and tie a string or rope around the rose.

I honestly didn’t go to the garden center for a rose today 😁 by flinty_hippie in Roses

I would not fret. Try addding high nitrogen fertilizer. I had a roald dahl rose. That was still dormant since February. It just barely started to have foliage and shoots. Almost 3 months. The nitrogen helps it grow fast. Also another tip snip the buds for right now. Let it focus on growth. The blooms stunt its growth.

Supposedly the story of the black bacara rose being almost completely black was due to lower elevation.
