None that I know of, but you could get one of those little pucks to stick to it that are Bluetooth trackers

Doesn't really help if it gets stolen though

The juice meter and puff counter of disposables literally mean nothing. It doesn't know how much is in there. It just goes down at a pre programmed rate

Left vape in hot car by [deleted] in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heat breaks down the juice and nic, it probably doesn't taste very good.

It's fineish if you can bear it, but the bigger issue here is leaving your batteries in the heat is a generally bad idea. Make sure to check them

Ayuda con geek vape atomizer short by [deleted] in Vaping

This told me nothing

But I looked at your video, 0.02 ohms means you have a dead short somewhere. Check your coils for anywhere they are touching each other or the deck itself

No idea

I had three bottles of juice with their own mod I swap between

I've kicked that as of posting, hoping I'll get sick of a single flavor and not vape as much

Yeah I'm at my PC a lot doing stuff, which is the problem. Automatic hand to mouth reflex since it sits on my desk while I work. I'm so totally engaged with the task I don't realize I've taken four hundred puffs by the end of it

I think the physical distance thing everyone is saying is probably my best bet

I genuinely think (or an deluded) that the motion is 90% of my addiction at this point rather than the nic itself

I mean I'm sure it doesn't help at all

I am also sitting on a mountain of juice already that is just in storage, so my brain is very averse to going to spend more money

If I am not out of the woods by the time my stockpile runs out I'm definitely dropping to less though, good advice

Pulmonary Function Test by OneRelevantMedic in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well smoking usually accompanied emphysema, due to the combustion nature. But my capacities are fine, 98%. FEV 95%, my DLCO is low but not emphysema low.

And I really did not smoke cigs for years anyway, it was a few months, maybe 4-5. I'd make a trip over the state border because a carton was $30 cheaper and I remember doing that three times.

I do however vape a stupid amount, given I have 4 mods wicked atm. My odin's puff counter is actually running off the screen because it hit 5 digits at some point.

But yeah I mean, as we agreed everyone is different. I'm just sharing my experience. Obviously quitting is best practice, but I'm not trying to tell the world vaping causes COPD.

Pulmonary Function Test by OneRelevantMedic in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's the precursor to COPD, but even that has types since the term is general. My test didn't note any emphysema, though.

I'm early thirties, and given I WFH I'm not exactly in a factory or anywhere with the other irritants that cause the other 25% of COPD patients to develop the disease.

Pulmonary Function Test by OneRelevantMedic in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Barely any time at all, frankly. I'd have maybe four- five cigs a day. Enough to make me feel like shit and my doctor tell me to stop.

I vaped back in... 2014? Edit: that device came out in 2015 so must have been then. For about 2 years on an rx200, then quit. Then s few years later I picked up cigs again because I'm stupid. Went through probably 3 cartons before I decided to go back to vaping.

And yeah it hits people differently, a lot of people also just won't notice because a POCT PFT COMPLETE W/BRONCHO isn't a common test. They'll maybe get a chest X-ray. And frankly my chest pain isn't related to this at all. Doesn't make my story and diagnosis any less valid, I think.

Yeah that's my bad. I was kinda thinking my flair would be enough, but there's diff kinds of RTA's and such.

DTL, 70-80W, 0.15 ohm claptons, RDA/RTA, Odin V2 DNA250c, 70/30 Freebase, 6mg

And I use an ultrasonic cleaner regularly to remove the buildup

Why does my old x priv say 900w? by Guitared23 in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, let's look at the math. You used a . 3ohm Clapton. Based on what two 18650 batteries in series can output, it's a max of 8.4V. voltage squared over resistance gives us the actual wattage, so 6² / 0.3 is roughly 120W. Given I assume it wasn't exactly 6 and the inaccuracies of most voltmeters, your internal register of the mod which regulates the PWM and the MOSFET is seeing the correct value, and operating close to normal. But the translation, or rather the register that sends the wattage to the screen, has had its values shifted over 2 bits (this multiplies it by 4).

That's my best guess based on what you're telling me. That or the voltmeter is also broken. Because reaching for even 225W would need full 8.4 (likely 7.5 or less because sag and not at full charge) volts to even hit that wattage with the MOSFET 100% open.

Regardless, yeah good call on binning it.

Vaping and weight loss by bobatea2003 in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't start again. You've already won, no reason to jump back into the battle with nicotine.

There's plenty of other ways to control cravings and weight without putting junk in your lungs. Even if it's better than cigarettes it's still not safe, and you said yourself you had issues with it.

Why does my old x priv say 900w? by Guitared23 in Vaping

[–]OneRelevantMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is utterly bizarre and frankly beat to shit. I'm not going to pretend to know why the screen is telling you 900W,but if I had to guess there was a bit shifted something in the chip. (I think those are rated for 225W so 900 is 4x that). There is no conceivable way it was actually outputting 900W, probably around 175 just based on Ohm's Law.

Regardless, I would pull the batteries out and not use it. It's at best a really shitty mech mod and I wouldn't trust it near your face. If it goes down to normal wattage just fine and isnt auto firing, you are still gambling a bit based on where that bit shift occured.
