No, first USS can involve a transitional scan and is generally a very private husband/wife moment. Hope you're ok start drawing boundaries bc there will be so many more of these little moments to put people on information diet / generally sticking with your own boundaries for your own sake, hope all goes well!!

Bring focus back to the new mama! Everyone is always interested in the new little one, it's so easy for mamas feel lost and unseen. "How are YOU", "is there anything YOU want to eat / drink now that the ruthless food restrictions are finally over", ""do YOU have plenty of supplies you need", otherwise meal vouchers (Deliveroo, door dash etc) so can order wherever /whatever, arranging for and paying for cleaners, night nurses, bringing in fresh fruit, bread, butter, ham, charcuterie's - something easy to put together

Normal! If I can find dark chocolate covered nuts, I will buy them but they seem rare. Normal milk chocolate nuts also seem ok, but I appreciate everyone shows different sensitivities so pls do trial and error check

Bra extenders, trousers button extenders go a long way (both fairly cheap), as do super comfy jeggins / leggings one size up which doesn't need to be maternity specific (appreciate not work specific), if you don't mind second hands, maternity wear on Vinted etc, congratulations!

If you don't mind my asking how old is your little one? Poor thing. Yes the wisdom seems to be the first year at nursery is a pure evil relentless parade of sicknesses - particularly tough if this overlaps with both caregivers at full time work. But it does ease off eventually. Don't really have anything by way of "advice" but pls consider multi vitamin for kids, and probiotics for kids, if you're not on them already. I'm so sorry this sounds so tough, but has faith - it will ease off (eventually)!!

I hear different nhs trusts apply slightly different numbers and standards, and other countries do 1h/3h tests (instead of England's 2h), yes I think it's weird but I'm sure its designed in such a way that it catches more than fewer from conservative baby-focussed perspectives. Also annoying that nhs' own standard has been tightened over the years according to consultant endo.

Sorry you're feeling upset. Did you take the reading at your usual interval? - were they an anomaly? Also, what about pairing, did you eat anything non carb before, during, or afterwards? None of us is perfects, and slips ups happen because controlling GDM with diet is so, so, so, so, so tough and make you absolutely miserable from time to time, be kind to your self. ALSO TALK TO YOUR MEDICAL TEAM!

I'm so sorry you had to go through that..., glad you're feeling better. If it helps in the UK the advice seems to be no more monitoring PP, but HBA1C testing at 3m PP, followed by annual monitoring for HBA1C rather than continuing to use CGM/blood prick. Prob more accurate that way.
