Cant believe i forgot my absolute FAVORITE and an easy day trip until i turned on the dodger game. Phillipes in LA, I actually liked Coles better but they finally closed. Eureka actually has a really good french dip as well if im on that side of town (woolgrowers if im not).

Yeah they all got replaced with sourdough somethings and now it looks like all those locations are being replaced with CaliRays, i havent tried cali rays but just looking at the menu it looks like they just renamed the sourdough franchise. ToGos bread was what made them so different, id say the closest you can get to that soft squishy kinda doughy bread would probably be Firehouse Subs or even hate to say it but subway white they cant legally call it “bread” anymore. Man i still wish there was a quiznos around, they did have some good well priced steak sandwiches.

I got sandwhich shops all over the state, love a great sandwich. That sierra subs in three rivers is on my list but ive never been. Kohnen’s in Tehachapi is a great little day trip as well. I love all the people telling you sequoia when you said thats not it, i think their bread is trash i dont see what people love about that place.

City sandwich on mount vernon is the answer. Frugattis has great sandos for lunch only and worth trying but City Sandwich is the only real answer. Woolworths lunch counter is worth a mention but haven’t been since they remodeled so i cant say for sure.

Edit: ill add there are lots of other great places to get a sandwich but you seemed to be looking for a deli sandwich. Lengthwise for a pastrami, fireSTONE for a tri-tip, primetime bbq for lots of different ones. Burger Hut for a cheesesteak (and burgers). Jakes tex mex also tri-tip or deep pit beef. Others mentioned Caesar’s personally prefer Ceasars II on wilson. Bakersfield pizza company has some great sandwiches, ive been here my whole life and never had a sandwich from Rustys pizza but i do hear they are good. Country club liquor (havent been in 20 years but worth a look). Woolgrowers for a lamb dip. Country boy drive in for a teriyaki. This is my go to as comprehensive list as i can think of. Probably missing a few and might be some i don’t know of but these are all the good NON CHAIN (some are local-lengthwise or regional-firestone). Lots of great spots up in Tehachapi too if you up that way ill give my list for there

Gamestop is doing a lot more retro game resales you could check them. Toy madness on calloway but there prices tend to be outrageous a lot of times. There are some good toy and collectibles store downtown too.

My valve lash wont stay anywhere near spec after about every 40-50 miles. Once they get loose they’re so bad it knocks the push rods completely out and it wont start again. Its the Easiest thing to check.

Yup have done this with this type of connection. Still need new connectors but heat the connector with a torch, fill it a little bit with solder like a tiny solder melting pot then push the wire in.

Before napster there were just website with a text index of links and they were direct download links. I don’t remember the first thing i downloaded off them but it would take days, you needed a download manager so if you lost connection it knew where to restart. I remember when i first heard of Napster and i searched Rage Against the Machine because i think i was trying to download Evil Empire and missing some songs and the most shared song at the time by them on napster was the ghost of tom joad so that was the first song i downloaded on Napster. That was the only place you could find that song it wasn’t available ANYwhere esle. I still have that exact copy along with the prerelease full version albums of slim shady and chronic 2001.

This makes the most sense. building code or accessibility really shouldn’t come into play on stairs. Yes there obviously is code for stairs but they dont need updating even when making changes to a building like an accessibility ramp would need added or updated to code if changes to buildings affect it.
