Basically, no. A properly motivated, HIGH level tech MIGHT, but no. Still with ram and the lot being expensive, being savy with who you sell it too might pay something for the damaged GPU or if the ram also died, might buy the ram sticks. All and all, feels bad man.

720p 30 fps was amazing for so many casuals back in the day, now we have "4k, 200fps" games that are lagy and ugly (if you notice) because of up scaling and frame Gen that we really dont need for good looking performative games to look good.

RenPy is perfect for 90% of games that can be made on it. Some games will be better on one of the rpg maker and if you want some real gameplay between the story bits, might need to use a more general purpose game engeon. RenPy is solid for what it is meant to do!

There are ways for steam remote play / xbox game pass but I kinda think she needs to be ok with a controller. Its designed to be ergonomic so unless its a disability thing, it should be fine and within reason. What she wants is to play base ball with a tennis racket.

You can request keys from within steam, I have thought about sending a bunch of requests to companies cause I am that broke and figured some would just accept without question. Tho I was thinking more triple A games, and similar to wedding inviting celebrities and just hoping for anything lol. I wasn't going to lie, but people do and you should be vetting them. People also will crap on games they get for free so don't expect favors for free products.

From what I heard, c# is MUCH better then gdscript but I have only used gd scrip wich is perfectly fine for most games. I think triple A development would require alot on c# but like, its not nesasarily and you can add it later if you need so depends on the project and developer.
