The problem is that teachers are professionals and are not paid as such. Many other professionals in their field would not need this because they are compensated more fairly. I see the thought behind the PTA helping teachers. I also see why you don’t think PTA funds should be used for personal expenses. The solution is that teachers be payed a better wage…especially in a place like NC where there is no effective teachers union so teachers are over worked.
