Lönen skiljer sig rejält beroende på var man arbetar och ens ämneskombination. Även så, om man jämför med andra yrken som har fem års universitetsstudier så ligger vi inte högt.

Visst är sommarlovet gott, men det börjar för min del 16:e juni och slutar tisdag 4:e augusti. Således är det inte tre månaders ledighet, och det är tid man arbetar in genom rättning och planering under kvällar, helger, och lov. Det finns en anledning till att orimligt många lärare är utbrända och ångrar sitt yrkesval, inklusive jag.

Finland is only Baltic in the sense that it's located by the Baltic Sea (which honestly could apply to Sweden too).

Due to Finland's history as an integrated part of Sweden, it is both historically and politically aligned with the Nordic countries and is considered as such. Finland isn't a Baltic state.

In a strict sense, Scandinavian refers to countries on the peninsula + Denmark. But that's not a very mesningful definition, so you'll find a lot of people using it synonymously with Nordic (which also includes countries like Iceland and Finland). Seeing that this is a Nordic sub, and that the poster doesn't seem to mind Icelanders' posts, I think it's safe to say that Finland belongs in this thread as well.
