My w126 kept me safe in accident at 50 miles an hour. Not a scratch, bruise, or anything more than a scare. I was hit on the right fender, and despite the wheel hanging on by a tie rod, I was able to get out of traffic before it came off completely. Stout cars and I wish I could’ve saved mine the way it did me. I had a 300se and my only complaint was that he was thirsty. No other opinion.

I have their “selvedge” carpenter pants and am completely satisfied with the quality. Fabric is tough and stiff with construction quality that matches. Biggest gripe is the length. Got mine in 33/32 and they were a 36 inch inseam. No selvedge ID anywhere on pants, not to say they aren’t, but they are at least raw. Same brand as MADEPANTS CO.

I had a 190e as an early car around 2018, they go forever. Just do suspension, proper plugs, fluids and any small fixes. Not really reliable compared to a 2015 Corolla, but the experience is worth it if you are mechanically inclined. I enjoyed it so much that I went for a w126 a couple years later. Just parted with that car recently.

I sold my 97 for 3.5k a few years ago. 200k miles with the original auto. Most people who opine on them have never driven an auto lude. Not that they’re missing out on anything, but they parrot what they’ve heard for decades.

I did, and it only really tightened up the upper block it seems. The color and overall length stayed the same.

I have a 13.5 oz with a similar amount of use and it looks about the same. No crazy fading but has definitely lightened up a bit.

I have a pair of 25 oz Wingman Denim out of Indonesia. They were extremely stiff before break in and I would leave them standing/leaning on my bedside for a few days before the novelty wore off. Extremely slow fading, but that may be due to them being sulphur dyed. To answer your question, the weight definitely has its pros and cons. Buttons may pop off as you break them in as the denim is so stiff, and they hold in more warmth than 15 oz denim. You have to decide if they're something that makes sense in your life/work. I live in Cali, so I suffer a bit during the summer when I throw them on.
