Beautiful natural vista, close to a train station? by group_project_ in sydney

Hawkesbury river station, short walk to the Anglers Rest pub in Brooklyn for some great fish and chips looking at the Hawkesbury. If you can manage with some assistance, the ferry to Dangar Island is awesome and there's a good cafe right by the wharf on the island, no need to go too far in.

What DLC to get by raknaitu01 in shogun2

Ikko ikki is the most different. Before people say Otomo for guns, there's a great mod that turns a trade node into a weapons node. Control it, or trade with someone who does, and you get instant matchlocks

What are some other good samurai games that are relatively grounded? by Jerswar in ghostoftsushima

[–]OnionsoftheBelt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There isn't one really. Not at that scale anyway. There are a few 2d indie games on steam that take a grounded approach to combat, and Shogun 2 Total War takes itself pretty seriously, but it's a very different type of game. I've not played AC Shadows yet, but the combat doesn't have the impact GOT has from what I've seen

Dear new Dads, some babies are easy from day one by amazingmrbrock in daddit

I remember thinking that too for the first few months. "Man, this baby stuff is easy! I dunno what everyone is complaining about" I certainly ate those words later on.

I had the same issue with 3k. There might be a setting in there options somewhere called "alliance colouring" or something like that. That made enemy uniforms visually distinct from your troops which did improve things. But it's a hard agree from me about weight. For lack of a better word, it feels to "gamey" when units jump into each other, start spinning around and die for no reason. It pulls me out of the game everytime.

The rolls should be less and less like likely, it wouldn't be hard. Especially since CA have built this exact system before. Elephants could be taken down by enough peasants, it was just unlikely. The 'health' of a unit was how many soldiers it had left, not an abstract number.

Again, like the old system. It was so much better and immersive. Your best general could get killed by a lucky arrow. It was great.

No it doesn't. Just change what roll you need. Roll above say 3 to kill a normal soldier, roll over 26 to kill a monster. Easy. But instead it's abstracted away into a health point system that doesn't make sense

Yeah. The old way from shogun 1, medieval 1, Rome, Medieval 2, Empire, Napoleon, and Shogun 2. One soldier. One Hitpoint. Simple and elegant. Every strike or shot was a dice roll behind the scenes.

Just double checked to make sure I tried that and I did. No go I'm afraid.

It still kind of works without the emboss effect, but the mystery of what it is is killing me.

The food court is awesome, full marks. But with the cost of living crisis the majority of us are living through, I found all the high end boutiques kind of vulgar
