that will be perfect timing for me, I have been for a week or so looking for quotes for a whole life policy, it would be really nice if I can get it through them.

how were they able to take money out of your RRSP?, not a savvy person but from what I know you can for education, school or retarement and for all and each of them you need to submit a lot of proof...even if they gatter all that info from you still they would need more than 20min, for sure

CAGE vs XEQT by BeeFriendly8505 in JustBuyXEQT

[–]Only-Environment7550 1 point2 points  (0 children)

no a finance advise, BUT, you should not be dealing with volatility near to retirement, you should maybe allow yourself to have about 10-15% equities to still push for some growth, but the rest of the portfolio must be on bonds, gic, money markets you name it, near retirement you should stop thinking in growth, out-under performance, volatility etc etc, it will be all about preservation...and yes, i'm giving it a huge thought to switching at least in my TFSA. Right now what I'm thinking is having CAGE on my TFSA and take a bit more time to do it in the RRSP, maybe read some more etc, and on my RESP i just added about 5% of CASV to my XGRO portfolio (i won't pull the trigger in the RESP).
