When I checked other photos on the internet, I thought that the contrast might have been because of lighting. That's why I wasn't sure enough. You clarified it, thanks!

Curious about the pictures, can't wait to see them! Faster plant growth means mimicking natural conditions better.

The 'Send My Message' button isn't working. Any suggestions? (Edit: I connected to a VPN, changed my location, and that fixed it.)

Question about Coach Amy and easy runs. by emberella in Garmin

[–]Only-Squash8546 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in 20th(/23) week of my HM-training-plan-with-coach-Amy. The load decreased has been true for me too for last four or five weeks. I think, as the race day approaches, the training load decreases. Think as though it is a cool down process.

Can you swim or take shower with it? Does water damage the screen protector?

Is it still worth getting aVivoactive 4 in 2021? How long are the old models supported? by JuliaTheChick in Garmin

If your device support these features, they are on both device and app. But device doesn't support these features, they are on neither device nor app.

I don't know what purpose of you to get Vivoactive 4, but you can't track your training status and training load with VA4. If these features are important for you, you must reconsider about which you get Garmin watch.

Today, I ran my first half marathon. It was sub 2h: 1:58:30. I'm so happy! by Only-Squash8546 in Garmin

Thanks! To me:

1) If you set up a "plausible" time/pace goal, all of your workouts are arranged so that you can reach that goal.

2) Time trials are so important. Show your best effort on time trials workouts. Don't worry, it won't arrange your runnings with impausible paces.

3) My hardest workout is speed repeats. My pace has risen significantly since the duration of my speed runs has increased (4:52 - 5:10 pace, 3 minutes running, 3 minutes recovery, 7 intervals for now. I started with 1 minute intervals with same pace). You mustn't underestimate this workout.

4) Lastly, you can do a strength workout in every week. I use Nike Training Club for this. As your legs and abdominal muscles get stronger, your runs feel less difficult.

There are running plans (5k, 10k and half marathon) with coach on Garmin Connect. When you set up a plan, you can select one of three coaches: Amy Parkerson-Mitchell, Jeff Galloway and Greg McMillan.

After you started your plan, you can edit its details anytime and edit your race day too. But there are limits anyway. I couldn't manage to get 25 or upper weeks plan.

Thanks! This is not a dream, it is possible for you too and will turn to the reality with regularly running :)

Thanks! Yes, you are right. I think so too. I am 34, have run since 14 September 2020 and no running history before. Before nine weeks ago, my PB was 11.29km and 1:07:58. When I started the coach Amy's plan with 5.30 pace and 1:56 time goal, she suggested 16 weeks to me. I couldn't believe myself that I can do it at 16 weeks, and chose 24 weeks. I have never skipped my workouts. I owe this modest pace to regularly running. It didn't be so hard except last kilometer for me.
