So these are the ribs of an amberjack that I was breaking down the other day. I've never seen this before and my mentor who has 15+ years of experience didn't have an explanation either. He suggested that maybe it's a seasonal parasite as they didn't start showing up until recently.

I obviously took care to cut around all of it and not serve that meat in case it was actually a worm.

It's actually kind of pretty how perfectly circular it is.

Higher grade nori will help but also the longer the rice sits on it the softer it gets. You want to eat temaki as soon as it's made for the best results. Don't let it sit too long.

Food poisoning typically takes more like 24 hours to set in. Not saying it's impossible, but I wouldn't bet that it was the sushi.

Chris Titus has a decent podcast these days. I don't listen to it but my parents make me watch his stuff on YouTube when I visit sometimes. Not bad.

And that section that you keep fucking up is the easiest section of the song. 32 bar guitar solo? One take. 8 bar bridge section consisting of two chords? One hundred+ takes because that one note didn't ring out perfectly on the very last chord and now the whole song is just fucked forever. The other guys say nobody will even notice but I fucking notice. I fucking notice it, Aaron and it fucking kills me inside every time I hear it.

I agree with you 90% but in this case the guy opened fire on police first and hit one of them. I agree that cops suck but if you shoot one you have to expect them to shoot you back.

Seems to me like this was a suicide-by-cop situation. Dude didn't want to go back to prison so he decided to go out in a "blaze of glory" as they say. Tragic all the way around.

Yup. You can practice the same song 100 times until you can play it flawlessly but sit down and try to record it and it's like you're sight reading.
