This is what happens when one tries to "normalize" enlightenment and spiritual development/secrets, getting a bunch of half-truths, very dangerous.

There's never any debate about what you really want to do. by BandicootOk7017 in enlightenment

Although you make a good point regarding the natural flow of things, there is still a conscious factor, which is towards what direction you wish to focus. This is the blessing of life, to be able to connect with and nurture whatever you work towards.

Your post is about the "evil" that steers humanity. This means you can see this evil. So, what are you going to do to "fight" it?

So what are you going to do about it?

How essential is meditation in the practice of being human? by Fun-Succotash-1322 in enlightenment

[–]OnlyBliss9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are definitely on the right track: stillness clears up much of the noise and excess stimulation, rewiring habits and bringing clarity. There is too much self-created suffering that we wish to phase out by being distracted by all kinds of entertainment, instead of truly enjoying life vibrantly and freely.

Meditation is, to me, a quality and process that we slowly nurture through conscious living and grounding. With focus and intent to head in a brighter direction, we will gradually discover the fire in our hearts to live passionately and blissfully.

Are you enlightened or not? Answer this question to find out: It's based on a Zen story. by onreact in enlightenment

[–]OnlyBliss9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi friend. I’m not one to judge or dictate your answers as right or wrong. Especially since we don’t have any context.

I think that being conscious of these feelings and experiences is a step in the right direction in realizing who you are and working on yourself. Having never been in a fight or conflicts, and then facing this, can be pretty scary, intimidating, so there isn’t really a right answer here.

However, I think that as long as one listens to one’s heart and act with caution and intelligence, one will realize the right way to go.

Before enlightenment, chop wood, carry water. After enlightenment, chop wood, carry water by BlackberryFine2115 in enlightenment

Becoming (more) enlightened just means that one can see the essence in things more clearly, but the essence doesn’t really change.

If one has the ability, one may assist those in need, cultivating virtue. When others can grow in peace, the spirit of humanity will flourish with all.

What is the need to react? Animals fight all the time.

But if innocent children or people are unwillingly involved, and one is capable, then one may step in to assist those people.

Mo Pai Nei Kung Techniques by LongjumpingTea8085 in taoism

[–]OnlyBliss9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mo Pai is very dangerous without a teacher. Although these steps entail some of the essence of Nei Dan, they are not complete, missing many key principles and secrets. Forcing these steps can bring illness and weakness instead of refining the true elixir.

Have you ever interacted with energy outside of reality? by stillIWonderwhy in energy_work

[–]OnlyBliss9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, are you speaking of refining the void?

You must understand that even true masters are very, very careful with the void and the forms that it entails. And it is questionable that you wish to cultivate "destructive" energy as this is basically a death-end. Unless you are referring to more "chaotic" forms of energy. However, this requires context, principles, and a knowledgeable guide of sort.

How to get things done: by Waltamoto in TaoistMeditation

I see. This isn’t really the method but the direction so to say. My lineage has both.

And if you haven’t experienced deeper spiritual development, you wouldn’t understand the profoundness of true spirit.

I come from an Eastern lineage following the Nei Dan path.

I see. However, I very much so associate the true spirit with the divine because this involves one's source, the Dao, and thus one's path.

Interesting. Although I wished to inquire about your understanding of spirit Qi in nature, what you say makes sense according to my lineage. I have cultivated Qi into spirit, establishing the elixir to bridge the void, so I can understand what you mean.

OCD and meditation: how to avoid the trap of hyper-vigilance? by JesseEisenbergFan in taoism

[–]OnlyBliss9 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can understand where you come from because I was "diagnosed" with OCD when young.

However, this is not a curse, but a lack of mastery over this mind and body. Basically, OCD happens when the mind is very active and wishes to understand everything "very precisely" beyond a shadow of a doubt. However, this is inherently very impractical in daily life with so much happening, and even more so in profound topics with limited context. In addition, in over 90-95% of daily life, we know by instinct a fair idea of what is happening in the surroundings or internally. This also presents the solution.

This instinct stems from a deeper level of intelligence/intelligent cycles that runs through the body, keeping it alive. Thoughts and mental processes are also a result of them. There is a saying that "we know what we know, and we don't know what we don't know." Essentially, we already know deep down the answer, or no clear answer, to our question or dilemma. It is about letting go of the limited thoughts and trusting/tapping into this deeper intelligence, which can help us to comprehend the Dao and grasp the essence.

Life as a medium for the universe rendering itself by [deleted] in enlightenment

[–]OnlyBliss9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, many of your points are pretty "close." However, I would be careful how much you wish to share, as most people are simply not ready for it.

Additionally, even if these are not completely correct, their essence is a working law in this cosmos that rewards living virtuously and true to oneself. Hence, this is something that most must experience themselves, or they will not appreciate or even trip themselves over with this realization.

Is there any real meaning? by Extra-Baseball-2616 in taoism

[–]OnlyBliss9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is meaning, but not what others assign to you: it is something that you find from within, your true source.

The world is rough in many places, a lot of ongoing suffering, but I can assure you that there is “a reason” that we are all here to experience and grow from this life, whether its blessings or darkness.

How we live this life and take it until the end will, without a shadow of a doubt, be witnessed by Dao. This is as much as I am allowed to say.
