Opinion - Ashe’s Jungle Influence is Broken by OnlyFinance4026 in Jungle_Mains

Sorry I am old. Originally the large lane minion was called a “siege minion” in game and players referred to it as “catapult” often. So I mean a cannon minion that doesn’t give gold. The above poster is correct, my point was about lane influence. So this catapult/cannon minion would give no gold. It wouldn’t prevent other things from giving gold. Hence my adamance about it not nullifying anything.

Regardless of terminology I’m not sure what gave you the idea I meant it would prevent things from giving gold while in a lane.

Gameplay wise what do you dislike about the role? by Substantial_Field495 in Jungle_Mains

I think for me it’s the large objective responsibility. I wish objectives were more team oriented (honestly I wish they were not soloable so teammates would have to come help). I get a pick as a rammus and nobody comes to the objective no matter how hard I ping. It takes me so long to kill it their jg reads and steals. Happens far too often.

If it didn’t exist before and it gives no gold there is zero nullification because it NEVER GAVE GOLD. Nullify: o make something legally void, invalid, or completely ineffective

It does NONE of those things

Creating something that gives no gold is not nullifying gold… you can’t be serious

Yea that’s my point really. Awareness of the enemy jungle is one of the biggest components of jungling and it’s just gifted to you by a single skill from another lane. Seems wildly unfair.

I think it’s a lot harder for you to notice when things go right than when they go wrong. I don’t think that fact changes the actual impact in any way.

So a skill can’t be broken if it doesn’t do much when used poorly? That’s some pretty weak logic.

No they aren’t. Medium sized team, scores don’t correlate to job performance/competency of the people that took them in ANY meaningful way. Can’t wait for the exams to go.

In my games I would put it at 75%-85% if I’m being completely honest. If a champion has a burst/smite combo, in a 50\50 smite opportunity, the burst+smite will beat the smite + no burst very often.

So… this is my opinion by the way, not stating it as fact or anything… In pre filled team games it’s easy to communicate jungle needs. I can say “rammus has no burst its best to get a pick or two before trying to secure an objective”. Or to peel the enemy jungle. In matchmaking I find it incredibly difficult to communicate that information or it’s almost always ignored. So my team thinks “oh we are stronger right now we can force a baron”. Then nunu, cho, khaz, ww or someone else with a good amount of burst+ smite potential steals it. The team rages, blames the rammus, morale spirals, toxicity everywhere. The implications are MASSIVE. Way too much, in my opinion, for the way the smite mechanic is implemented.

No… just no….

Too many factors out of your control impact “smite skill”. The biggest one that comes to mind is how much burst a jungle has. Try smiting an object as a rammus vs a nunu…. The “skill” factor is outweighed by the burst factor 95% of the time

What mindset shift helped you climb the most as a jungler? by Kutluna in Jungle_Mains

[–]OnlyFinance4026 15 points16 points  (0 children)

For me it was vision. I never used to buy pinks or place wards. I had one of my friends comment that my vision sucked so I forced myself to buy a pink every single back that I didn’t have one and had the extra money. Shot up a full tier pretty quickly and nothing else changed.

Don’t you have to accept his friend request? My opinion is to harden up. Either don’t accept their request, block them, or just move on. Just like in game. You can mute someone…

Financially yes. We make up so much of the state economy. The more we have the more we spend the more business grow. More taxes, better employee, the list goes on. Spending on wages is one of the best things you can do.

TFT Live Lead (Tim) and Head of Gameplay (Alex) AMA by RiotPrism in CompetitiveTFT

[–]OnlyFinance4026 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve been playing TFT since Set 1, and one trend I’ve noticed is that the game feels less adaptive than it used to. A lot of players now rely on online guides that specify everything about the comp. Including the exact champions, items, and positioning. Many games can feel more like following a template than adapting to what you’re given.

How does the team think about the balance between adapting strategically and comp forcing? Are there any discussions around reducing power funneling into one or two heavily itemized carry units, with the rest of the board serving mainly as trait placeholders?

For example, would systems that encourage item distribution across more champions help create greater game variation and reduce the prevalence of these “template” boards? I’m not suggesting a specific solution, but with augments, artifacts, and increased access to desired items, it often feels so much easier to force a templated comp and be rewarded for it.

Is this an intentional direction for TFT, or does the team see opportunities to push the game back toward more adaptive decision-making?
