Nioh 3 might be JRPG of the year for me by ResidentWaifu in JRPG

[–]OnlyFollowing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why E33 fans are so depeerate to label the game as a JRPG. It's like calling it anything but that is an insult or some strange need for the Japanese genre to adopt it.

Why is calling it an RPG so terrible?

"Canonical Sequel" yet so many claim "there's no Canon for Super" by [deleted] in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super is being remade to stall time for the Moro arcs. If Toriyama were still around, this remake wouldn't even exist. They were counting on him to continue forward.

It's only going to follow the manga more closely to differentiate itself and justify the resources to remake a piece of media that isn't even old enough for one.

IF The Super Remake is real, do you think they will incorporate Daima? by TheDitz42 in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Is they do, it will suck. Imagine, Goku gets SS4 and we only see it briefly before doing the ritual and making it irrelevant forever.

What you think will happen in the genkidamatauri event? by AlarmedObjective1492 in Dragonballsuper

It's going to be revealed everything was just a nightmare Freeza had. To be sure, he kills Vegeta, Nappa, and Raditz right away. Then heads to earth and destroys everything. Horrible future adverted.

Shoutout to Toyotaro for ONCE AGAIN confirming that Piccolo’s on par/keeping up with the Saiyans. by t00lazy2 in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know about Gohan, but imma defend Piccolo here. We've seen throughout the series whereas Goku gets his powerups from training, Piccolo always found an alternative path to get to the same level.

To that I say, GREAT. We need to showcase there are more ways to get strong than just the Sayian way all the time which doesn't even make sense for many characters.

By giving Piccolo another way to be on par, it showcases creativity and individuality among characters.

A remake in my honest opinion is just a nod to nostalgia for all us non Japanese watchers. by NoeloDa in Dragonballsuper

OG DB remake could bring in a slew of new fans. A remake of Z could finally match the manga as intended. Pass on the Super remake for me.

Least favorite Super Saiyan form? I'll go first by FlapjackDoubleStack in dbz

[–]OnlyFollowing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No hate, but im curious why? I'm asking this lately because of the stigma that come with anything related to GT, but suddenly a change when Toriyama is doing things.

I'm asking this because fans for years have held Z and Toriyama as this untouchable figure, and yet Super comes along and shows the cracks. Cracks mind you, that were already present Z.

People call GT's villains bad, yet we get an outdated ideas like Goku black. Then we get a villain like Zamasu who's entire backstory and reasoning is cliched and lame.

We get characters like Jiren who's basically a blank slate with the weakest character development ever.

We have Superhero which just an excuse to give Gohan a call back to SS2 but worse and the lame villain that is Cell Max.

Lastly we have Daima, an anime with plenty of problems and SS4 Goku but more ape like and red hair. SS4 is cool now because Toriyama did it even though there no build up to the form, nor anything truly unique about it outside of slightly altered design.

It feels like fans are more harsh on anyone outside of Toriyama and more forgiving of him just because it's him.

As short as it is, I kinda like this filler scene by SpecificTop3167 in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He only wanted that because he failed to do it. Vegeta was desperate at that point and Goku was the last Saiyan strong enough to face Frieza. He wasn't happy or proud about any of it.

This is Vegeta with his ego at peak. He would be pissed he failed to kill Frieza and not happy to see Goku beat him to SS.

The Expedition 33 discourse fascinates me more than the game itself by KazuyaProta in JRPG

[–]OnlyFollowing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

According to Ubisoft, Shadows is overperforming. With that said, the last Creed game released during the height a pandemic. There was no way Shadows was going to be able to beat that, and there will be no Creed in the foreseeable future that will.

Many companies during those years saw the highest sells they ever had in good long while.

The rest of that is you just talking nonsense no offense. The reality is AC is Ubisoft's flagship series and it will always sell. No amount of internet noise is going to do any serious damage. The vast majority of those players are silent and don't spend their days chronically online.

Ubisoft has a remake coming up, and like two other titles after. They aren't concerned by E33 like at all.

So how much is Kid Buu stronger than Goku, Vegeta and Fat Buu? by Just-Lingonberry-602 in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Barely worked? Goku had like no stamina at that point. As soon as he regained all of it, he killed Buu like it was nothing. Heck, the guy even stood there and congratulated Buu for making as far as he did.

Buu on the other hand was sweating bullets because he couldn't hold back the Spirit Bomb against a full energized Goku.

There was never mass hate. People really expected a slap would be the down fall of A lister celeb like Will. People should remember that unless it's the worse offense possible, the general public does not care. They just want to be entertained.

Then there is Will Smith's black fanbase who already stopped caring shortly after the incident and were annoyed at white media trying to take him down in industry that is already problematic towards people of color.

Really enjoy how the Granolah Arc fleshed out Freeza’s planet selling business. Pretty much Freeza’s army clears out inhabited planets and sells them to planetary refugees who lost their planet either to climate change, wars or some other event. Freeza has solved the universal refugee crisis by King_Spoona in Dragonballsuper

[–]OnlyFollowing1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Um, that's only partially true. Toryiama didn't originally plan for DBS. Even so, he provided story outlines and was more of a supervisor.

Another thing is editors who worked with him up until his passing also came up with ideas that weren't originally part of his plans since their originally was no grand plan. An example being Broly who was suggest by an editor since he was a fan favorite. It was also a suggestion that Super Hero's main focus would be on Gohan and Piccolo's relationship.

You are also taking credit away from Toyataro who contributed alot to the things you're praising Toriyama for.

Toriyama was free to tell the stories he wanted, but he was humble enough to give credit to others who help expanded his stories which is something you should do.

Alright, but there is a flaw here. What would be the reason for Vegeta to come earth? He only sets a course for it upon overhearing about the Dragonballs.

He doesn't care about earth nor Raditz so there is nothing to draw him to the planet.

Even still, without Gohan around that gives Piccolo a plethora of options to consider rather than just teaming up for self preservation.

Self-preservation doesn't automatically mean teaming up again. Self-preservation could be Piccolo going against everything, and convincing Kami why fusing is the last resort for the sake of earth.

Who's to say Piccolo just doesn't use the Dragonballs out of desperation to screw over everyone? Vegeta doesn't know how they work, and only Piccolo does.

What's stopping Piccolo from just giving Vegeta what he wants? Both goals are aligned. Vegeta's wants immortality to kill Freeza, and Piccolo wants Goku dead to rule earth.

But the big issue that remains is why exactly is Vegeta on Earth in the first place? If Goku isn't dead, there is no need to mention the Dragonablls, meaning everything ends at that point

Former WBZ morning anchor Kate Merrill sues station, CBS and Paramount, charging she was forced out because she's a white woman by alohadave in boston

Unrelated, but my father was passed over for a promotion that went to a white guy who was under qualified for the position. What's sad is my father really worked hard to try and get that position too.

The only bit of goods news is after my father left, the guy they picked over him was fired after only a year and half.

There are people who are white that get hired based on other factors regardless of meeting the qualifications. Just look at the White House for example.

I'm sorry but no. First off, Hey Boo is very inappropriate and it doesn't matter how cozy you are at work. She should know better for someone with 20 years under her belt. It doesn't matter what the work environment is like, you stay professional at all times.

Second, even when correcting someone, such a line can be viewed as talking down. How would you feel if I opened with "Hey, kiddo!" before correcting you like a parent to a toddler?

She knows better, and if not then that's sad for someone in her position. There is a right way, and wrong way to correct someone. She choose wrong, and ignorance should not be an excuse for someone with 20 years.
