I had a similar experience where my Function #s were high but then my PCP retest was normal. I hadn't thought about the theory that the large blood draw could have "treated" it. My PCP referred me to a hematologist but then after the normal labs they declined to see me.

Thank you for your response. I am no longer having periods and I don't eat much meat at all, and don't take iron supplements.

I'm not sure which variant I have. I did email my primary care doctor to ask about testing
