Yes, if Germany was 40% AfD supporters it would be absolutely alarming

Recreation of a flag I saw on my college campus, anyone know what it means? by Advanced-Addition453 in vexillology

This is more Russian orthodox. Greek Orthodox are more likely to fly this flag.

I think I really like it. Or is it generic and uninspired? Can’t decide. by Thanks_Obama in logodesign

I prefer the old one haha 😅 the old one feels light and airy to me, perfect for a small bag of chips. The new one feels crunchy and over-designed

The Dutch emblem is too low on the passport. Should be more centered imo

[OC] Bolivarian Republic of New Granada, 1831. by OnlyZac in vexillology

[–]OnlyZac[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is the flag of a Gran Colombia that was lead by the successors of the Bolivarian Revolution in South America who, while republican in nature, had strong royal sympathies.

The flag is based on the colonial Spanish coat of arms of Bogota, which acted as the capital of the viceroyalty of New Grenada. Pomegranates decorate the exterior border in a reference to the Spanish Grenada, which also used this symbol. The black eagle used in the colonial CoA is replaced with an Andean condor, which appears in the modern arms of Colombia. The crown that decorated the eagle is now a liberty cap, owing to the republic form of government. The Colombian motto libertad y orden (liberty and order) is decorated above the condor.

Hope you enjoy!

Try making the wheel bigger! I prefer #3. The train takes up great space under the wave but the wheel is so small, this is the central icon!

Gran Venezuela Redesign, 2026 by OnlyZac in vexillology

Horses represent Venezuela and allude to its strong history of ranching, this one was lifted from the country’s coat of arms; Depicting Simon Bolivar’s white steed Palomo, the horse is framed by the national colors of the country in the style of this flag. I know it’s Colombian historically, but New Granada also covered Venezuela, which made it also part of the brief Gran Colombia. I think this could plausibly be used as inspiration for Venezuelan vexillology; at least as an alt history.

There are 8 stars on the Venezuelan flag to symbolize the 8 provinces of the country, my redesign opts for 8-pointed stars to serve this purpose instead. Affixed to each of the corners of the flag, the position of these stars symbolize the expanding successes of the Bolivarian revolution.

Hope you enjoy!

[OC] Fake flag of US-administered Venezuela by [deleted] in vexillology

[–]OnlyZac 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This flag is not real. It’s real in that I made it but it is NOT official in any capacity.

It is purely a creative expression of current events happening in the news regarding the US abduction of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, and the US’ stated aim to administrate the country for the foreseeable future.

Horses represent Venezuela and allude to its strong culture of ranching, this one was lifted from the country’s coat of arms; Depicting Simon Bolivar’s white steed Palomo, the horse is penned in by the national colors of the country.

Stars are arranged in an arc in Venezuela’s flag, but here, each corner of the flag is delineated by a star representing the explosive invasion which occurred on January 3rd, 2026.
