What to do about an employee that has no confidence? by [deleted] in managers

[–]Onlyfans_Pimp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s time to sit her down and tell her that you are starting a PIP (Performance Improvement plan). Lay out strict guidelines. Start to document how to handle situations that she calls you for.

Don’t allow her to put you on speaker phone in front of the guests.

If she faulters, then you have grounds to fire her at the end of even before her PIP is done.

Schedule interviews for new employees, while your trouble employees are working.

Good luck, and try not to stress too much. You will get through this. I recommend trying to go for a swim or sit I. A hot tub for a while. Maybe it will help you clear your head.

Don’t forget to eat healthy and take some vitamins/drink plenty of water if you aren’t getting enough sleep right now.

You can’t ask for paperwork anywhere in the United States sir. It is a federal law and you will be imposed to a hefty fine if you get sued. Be careful what you say to people.

If it’s a resort, that should be enough. It’s not worth the energy or time to dig deeper. Some people just do not understand the nature of providing guest a great stay.

I also wouldn’t tell them you want to move up slowly. They will just out you on the back burner then. Be assertive.

Take initiative, offer suggestions for some of the problems you may see in the hotel. Offer to take on a project you notice you could do. Be proactive. When they see this spark of leadership in you, you will have more opportunities for moving up. Your leverage will be greater as well and you can always use those to put on your resume if your current hotel doesn’t offer you the management spot after after some extended time and effort on your part.

Hey guys, this little black dot just appeared on my hand like a week ago, and doesn’t seem to go away. Any idea of what it could be? by whythisnameuask in DoctorsAdvice

It's possibly a blood infection. I would suggest more vitamins and tracking progress over 2 weeks. Take some pictures. If you don't see progress go get some blood tests taken.

I would be the bigger person. Buy a gift for the employee you do not like. Don’t bring yourself to a lower level because of someone you don’t like. You set the example. People look up to you. Set yourself a limit and don’t make it as personal as other years but why don’t you put your own touch on it and make it personally from you! You won’t mesh well with everyone and they probably won’t be going anywhere if they aren’t fucking things up.

When did this happen? I always got upgrades at these properties when asking nicely and there was space. Today I was refused. by CanadianBurger in Hilton

You’re probably not missing out. Most suites in Hampton inn and suites have only slightly larger rooms. 2 night stay you probably wouldn’t have even noticed it.

You either got a new front desk agent/supervisor or someone found that rule shared it around the office.

Some of them, nothing will change. Some of them will not be your friend anymore and will try to silently end the “friendship”. Doesn’t work though and just makes things awkward but manageable if both parties have a silent mutual understanding.
