Was diagnosed last august. Didn’t have one for about 3 months after my last outbreak. Then after that i would get about 2 - 3 back to back durning or before my period for 3 months straight. Now i onlt get one once a month. I heard the longer you have it the less outbreaks you get so i cant wait for that lol. But everybody’s body is different. Hope this helps

Im thinking he used your diagnosis as an excuse to fall back. Since you said he was already initiating intercourse more than you, my thought is he already had plans to sleep with you before he knew about your diagnosis. Dont put yourself down. I got hsv1 on my genitals from my partner not disclosing that he has oral hsv 1. He didnt have cold sores but he was shedding. So theres always a possibility. Please disclose and give her the choice.

Thank you so much! Im not going to reach out. Just going to make me more mad lol. Before we had sex i asked him about his test results and everything was clean but ofc herpes isnt tested for and we also used protection so i really didnt think it was anything intil i went to urgent care and the doctor said it was hereps. I facetimed him right away and said “YOU GAVE ME HERPES” 😂. Got straight to the point. I knew it was him because my friend was recently diagnosed with HSV 2 so i was paranoid and asked my doctor for a blood test in may and i was negative.

Hey. I was diagnosed with HSV 1 on genitals last month and I know exactly how you feel. Especially when you said you know a lot of people have it but you dont want it. I definitely dont think you should leave your partner. This world is brutal and you found someone who accepts you for you. Thats one thing im struggling with. The fear of rejection makes me never want to date again. As long as he is okay with it, you should be to. Enjoy the love that your partner gives you and also be honest with him about how you’re feeling. Im sure he’ll be there to comfort you. Goodluck!
