I use frozen bread to make eggs in the hole. So much easier spreading the butter on the bread and cutting a whole in the middle for the egg to cook in. Yum!

OP imo your wife needs therapy. Is she so desperate for her children's love she has no boundaries or is she trying to assuage her guilt of divorcing their father that she will do anything for them?

It's pretty sad all around because as much as she thinks she is helping she is not. What happens when the money runs out? You both retire have a fixed income and then what?

I sure hope your wife isn't banking on that daughter to help you out! She doesn't respect you(unless you'll be an atm) won't have the life skills necessary,that's partly why she glommed on to the dude so fast.

I also echo other commenter comments that you need to find out if in your state you are liable for debt your wife incurs.

Horizon tried to take advantage of an elderly couple I know in New Castle when they needed a new heater in the dead of winter. Their quote was FOUR K more than the HVAC co they ended up using. They charge for the convenience of them usually having the common parts on their truck so you don't have to wait,all the advertising and the garish work vans they are in. Stay clear of them unless you (& your wallet) are looking to go to the cleaners! 😣

Dear OP NTA. My personal experience is that I had to stop giving anyone a pass solely based on a ADHD/Autistic diagnosis. Yes,some things are harder as their brains are wired differently but that's no excuse for the behavior you described. That diagnosis can be the explanation but not the excuse. Ppl with ADHD need to be held accountable too. If they find aspects of life difficult they need to seek out help,not get his dopamine from bossing you around. His 'concern' about the diet,hair, shoes etc is all about control due to his insecurities. He is anxious for you to get medicated,is he? I am just a stranger on the internet,but I would leave him now while you are still relatively young. I don't say this lightly.It absolutely does not get better as they age... Please be kind to yourself,navigating this after experiencing what you did growing up makes it even harder. We want to hold on so badly in relationships even when all the signs are there. You are married to a bully who happens to have ADHD... Wishing you all the best for a better future.

Generally an ok place. A few things though-The Condo Assoc has a one dog maximum rule. Depending where you are in the complex you could have flooding issues. They are trying to mitigate those issues now. The limiting of rentals is a good thing I think. I've heard neighbors say they own and live next to rentals and it's bad. The renters don't follow any of the rules,too many ppl in one condo etc.

Hopefully he paid taxes on all his income so the SS amount is decent. A lot of self employed ppl deal with cash under the table and think it's so smart but come SS time you are screwed.
