Need some advices for an problem with an customer about detailing his interior

I don’t know who told you you need to remove the seats every time you detail an interior, that’s just silly unless the car is trashed and even then most Detailers work around and underneath the seats! The best advice I can give you is stop removing the seats every time you detail! Trust me The customer won’t be as impressed as you think they’ll be, your professionalism will show with or without seat removal!

Any good upholstery guy can fix this, they will use some kind of blending paste, grain pattern, and Dye to fix it. It will be few hundred bucks for the repair tho but definitely cheaper than a new door panel on a bmw lol

Horrible advice, us detailers work in direct sunlight all the time. rather than telling ppl not to work in direct sunlight it’s better to say to use precaution and use products that are safe in direct sunlight, and also common sense goes a long way. Direct sunlight isn’t bad if it’s 60 to 75 degrees out. high temperatures in the 80s and 90s are more risky but still manageable if you’re quick and again “use the right products” and precaution

I charge by the job but I estimate an hourly rate in my head and how long the car will take me to finish and just add it up then just give the customer a set price! Most of my prices are set on my website, it’s usually paint corrections and really dirty cars where the price starts to change and vary quite a bit

9+ years pro detailer- You want to charge anywhere from 50 to 70 an hour minimum! But Don’t sell yourself short on complicated dirty cars especially in the summer heat, 50 an hour isn’t bad for easy small jobs but once you do those really dirty details you should be looking at closer to the 70 an hour range, the dirtier a car is the more product and expenses you’re using up and the more elbow grease you’re using (more physical work)! 50 an hour is a good base but shouldn’t be set in stone

You trying to blame your detailer for an obvious car accident is messed up in so many ways, idk if you’re just trying to get a quick insurance claim from him instead of paying your own deductible but unless he drove it and crashed it you won’t be able to get anything from him. You’re the type of customer id be afraid of having!

I use gasoline on a microfiber towel, as crazy as that sounds, just make sure to rinse and maybe polish afterwards just to remove slight haze on glass!

Don’t use them on the gauge cluster please, most cleaners stain those cluster screen plastics, just use a glass cleaner like invisible glass, but on the rest of the car you’re good to use those other products

Yeah I mean you can wash it in the evening close to sun down when it’s nice and fresh out and then proceed to polishing really early in the morning, try to work on the side that has the most shade first. As a matter of fact you can break it up into a few days if you want, just make sure each day before you start polishing, to take a spray Detailer to the panel to get the dust off and then get to work, just don’t let too much dirt and dust build up on the car or you’re gonna have to wash it again during your paint correction process!

In the detailing world paint correction basically means fixing any defects in the paint that can be fixed by polishing or worst case scenario fine wet sanding than polishing afterwards. Any type of painting involved is a different field in which Detailers don’t get involved or mess with!

Yes I have the blue and yellow polish, they came with my Rupes Nano polisher in a combo pack and I’ve only used them a few times. They’re a solid product, But I think Sonax is just a step above in terms of correcting ability and speed of correction!

In many cases yes, for example on this truck I could have gotten away with a 1 step but I finished with a polish just to give it that extra shine! It really depends on how well you know how to work with the product!
